I'm 41. People don't usually believe me when I tell them that:) I have, on occasion, had to pull out my ID to prove it.

No reason to lie...most people can't believe I'm 45. Wonder how much longer I can pull it off!

You folks put me to shame! I work in high tech where being older is a HUGE negative. So I start my resume at not quite 22! Personally I find it rude that folks ask but I'm really more concerned about the age discrimination.

Socially well, I always have had younger friends... Actually was very uncomfortable. I was over to dinner with a friend and her husband and another couple. I knew they were younger but when I heard my friends MOTHER was something like 6 years younger than me... my jaw dropped.

My son actually found out my age this summer and was shocked to hear... Ok so I guess I can confess I'm the always!

WEll off to work out!

NO WAY!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU ARE NOT!!!! I'm going to make you pull out your ID to prove it the next time I see you Shelley!! :p

I am 37 and I have never lied about it. I feel funny lying. I may "omit" my age at times, but I won't lie. :p

Shelley, you don't look 41 at all. When I met you at the road trip, I thought you were younger than I am. Most everyone I know IS younger. Maybe it's all those cookies?:)

I'm 42 and proud of it. A good portion of the RN's(there's my profession) out there are overweight(sorry girls, but it's true and you know it)-- and even though I'm not a size 2 I'm happy in my own skin with biceps to be proud of--it's a work in progress and I'm enjoying the ride, thanks to Cathe!:)

Nope, never lie about my age. I'm 44 and proud of it. I look better now and am in better shape than I have ever been.

No, but I've felt like not telling. As someone once told me--"You don't act old." I'm 37 and have the smile lines to prove it.

No I don't lie either, but I've laways thought that lies need to go the OTHER way. For example, I'm 42, so if I would lie I'd say I'm 60. That way people just look in amazement and say "Wow - you look great!". But I agree, it's just a number.

No, I don't lie. I'm 50, but not especially excited about it. I feel good about how I look (sort of) and feel, but can't help but think I'm on the downhill side of life now. It seemed like it took no time to hit 50, so I know 80 is just around the corner.

To me, age is one of those "it is what it is" sort of things. To me, it would be like lying about my height or whether or not I color my hair. Now, if you had asked if I had ever lied about my weight, well, I'm pleading the 5th on that one.

Why lie, I'm 43 and look (and feel) better than I did at 23:) Sometime when people ask I tell them I'm 53 just to see their reaction, I quickly fess up but get a kick out of messing with 'em}(. Truly, unless there's a good reason for asking I really don't think age is relevant to much. I have good friends in their 60's and good friends in their 20's, folks are folks and age is just a number.

Take Care
Laurie:)
