Anyone done Ripped by Jari Love?

Is it up to Cathe's level of quality and intensity? I was just curious about doing a total body wo that doesn't have rest/recover periods to keep the heartrate up. I just did GS C&T superset premix and I loved the fast pace, but wanted more.

Is Ripped similar to Body Pump?

Keep smiling & sweating!

I have this one and like it alot. I don't think it compares in intensity to Cathe's PH. I would say it is more intermediate. You can make it more advanced by using the weights that "Terry" the man uses in the DVD. In my opinion you cannot go to heavy though or you risk injury.

The music is pretty rocking but I don't remember any specifics about it.

I really like this workout!
As Kim says, it's more intermediate than advanced, but it will give you a burn!
I LOVE the music, LOVE Jari's personality (charming without being "oh, look at me, I'm so sexy," encouraging without being a drill sargeant). She makes me go past the burn (triceps on pullovers---never had that happen before!--and shoulders during delt work) to do all the reps. I did a three-week rotation of Ripped as my only weight workout, and often, I'd feel like doing it again the next day (but didn't).

The exercises are well chosen and well sequenced. And I like the way she breaks down lunges into four distinct parts: step back, lower down, rise up, step in. Allows me to concentrate more one the "thutt" area when doing them ("thutt"; term some use for the upper hamstring/lower glute area, where the "thigh" and "butt" meet).

I do make one modification, which is to do a set of donkey kicks with ankel weights after the pullovers (replaying the back segment and following that count for each side), because my triceps are too fried to go directly into triceps exercises.

I also use the weights that Terry does (or go heavier).

This first DVD (and a wonderful first effort it is!) is only level 1 of the Ripped program. Supposedly, there are at least 3 more levels. I can't wait to see the rest.

Of the three "Body Pump' type workouts I've seen, I have to agree with a poster at VF and say that PH is the toughest, then Body Pump itself, then Ripped.
