Anyone do Core Max barefooted?

Seems I'm always barefoot when I do Core Max, mostly b/c I do it on my off days so I'm kicking back at home in my sweats. Also b/c I alternate Core Max w/pilates, which of course is always done barefoot.

But I think I'm cheating. Sneakers weigh what, 2-3 lbs? Levitation holds are a piece of cake. Pikes are unbelievably easy. Rocket shoots are.....well, they'll never be easy w/the med ball, but still, I bet they'd be tougher with shoes.......

Oh well. Maybe next time I'll try it w/my sneakers & see if it makes a difference.

i usually do them with shoes b/c of some of the exercises, like the oblique work on the ball, are easier b/c without my shoes i would sliding off the ball. and also b/c i am a klutz and i would drop the 8lb ball on my foot or something LOL

I don't have core max (yet), but I don't do any core work on the stability ball without aerobic or crosstrainer shoes. I tried ball abs one time without shoes and I was not able to stabilize myself. My feet kept sliding on the carpet.

I usually tack a core max segment on after a cardio workout, so I wear my shoes. I tried segment 1 barefoot a couple times, because someone suggested that would make levitation holds easier. Nope, I still couldn't do 'em. My feet slipped around too much during the plank work, so now I usually wear shoes.

yeah i have to wear shoes. i slip around too much and the form is compromised.

I do segment one without shoes sometimes but always need them for two and three (to give a stable support while on the ball).

I don't think that going barefoot is cheating...just a variation. Try the segment with shoes to see if it makes it harder for you and you'll find your answer!

I'm normally barefoot for any ab work except for stability ball work. I have no problem with stabilizing myself on the ball, but I have trouble doing reverse crunches with the ball if I'm barefoot. I can't get a grip on the ball without my shoes.

I've done CM on bare feet. I'm fine with the first segment, but on the second and third segments, my bare feet slip on my puzzle mats (I have the kind that have a smooth surface) when I'm on the ball.
