Anyone Count the Calories on The New DVD's???

Hey,
I was wondeirng if anyone has counted the calories burned on the new DVD's? Particularily the Bootcamp and Kickboxing cardios?
Also, if you know the calories burned for the Drillmax or any of the previous Kickbox videos plz do tell..
I don't have one of those counters and would like an idea of the calories biurned during these workouts..

Which dvd has the double cardio premix? Or do they both have that? If so, did you do HIS/LIS or BC/KB?

I just did Kick Max yesterday and burned 506 calories. For Drill Max, I burned 513 calories and for KPC, I burned 433 calories. I'm 5'2" and 123 pounds.

I burned about 500 calories on the Kickbox workout--but that included weight work. I'm 5'5" and just under 150 (notice how I have to put "under").

For KPC I burn an average of 380 cal. For DM it's 440 cal.(I am 40-5'8" and 132')But DM is about 10 min longer than KPC. I don't know about the new workouts, my HRM is at Polar being repaired.:(
 
I am 5'6" , 125 and 48 year old. For CK, my HRM says I burned 393, KPC burned 407, KM burned 495 and DM burned 540. I haven't done the new Kickbox or Boot Camp yet, but LIS cardio only portion burned 293 (36 min. long). Maybe once I get the steps down better,I'll burn more??

Am I the only one who doesn't keep track of calories burned? I have never really trusted those devices. Besides I would go into total obsess mode about it anyway!:)

i am with you 100% on that! it would just be another thing to obsess about. also, there was a study just done that said if your main focus is on calories burned while you are working out, you enjoy it less than if you focus on strength, health, etc. basically, they had two groups of exercisers who took classes. everything was exactly the same in both classes with one exception. the instructor focused on calories burned in one class (saying things like, "this will really burn a lot of calories" or "think how many calories you will burn") and in the other the instructor focused on strength, health, etc. (i.e. "you are growing stronger and stronger" or "you are making your heart healthy"). both groups rated their enjoyment of the class. the group with the focus on strength, etc. enjoyed their classes much better.

just another reason not to focus on calorie burn.
 
I don't count calories burned either. Besides that, I know for a fact that the calories burned on my HRM are a fair chunk higher than they really are. Same with my treadmill. I know when I run I burn about 100 calories a mile, but my TM always says higher than that and so does my HRM.

I like to go by the "drenched, drained and starving" method of determining if I've worked my butt off;)
 
I count calories burned but don't obsess about them. It's more for fun, I suppose. I write them (when I can remember) on a master list of all my workouts so I can compare the relative numbers of different workouts. I just find it interesting to see that I burned, say, 750 on Step Jump & Pump but only 400 on Rhythmic Step (those are totally arbitrary numbers by the way, I didn't look that up but just threw out examples). I can get to be a bit of an obsessive record-keeper of various things, but they don't really change my behavior to know them or worry me if the number is not what I want.

Yes, that's the method that works best for me too! Another non-calorie counter here! Aren't there too many other things to worry about in life already?!?!?!?

I too agree. When I do cardio on machines, I only use my HR to know what zones I am in. I don't have one that reads calories and I know the machines are bogus. Also, I don't wear a HR monitor when I do Cathe. For awhile I was, but then I got obsessed when my HR wouldn't get up high enough. It started to take the enjoyment out of Cathe cardo. Now, my focus or mental thinking is that I am working out, therefore I am burning calories. But more importantly, I am getting in shape, doing something good for my body (physically & mentally) and am enjoying myself. And, since I eat a healthy meal plan, how many calories burned doesn't really matter.
