Any STS questions?

Happy 4th Everyone! Now I know probably most of you are off enjoying a pool party somewhere but if you happen to be here right now and have a specific question for me regarding STS I should be here for another 15 minutes. If I don't hear from you, I hope that burger was delicious :9 LOL!

No pool party in Cape May, stuck behind a desk.... I do have a STS question...my current weights go up to 52.5 pounds per dumbell...do you think that will be sufficient enough, weight-wise for STS?

Hi Jerry! That all depends on your one rep max. I do know you have some issues that you need to be very careful with regarding your spinal stenosis so keep what you have for now and see how you do by the time you reach meso # 3.

Hopefully the tourists are ina happy mood there :)

Hi Catherine! We usually post updates when we have reached the next milestone in the STS stage. We are still currently in the last phase that we reported just a little futher along in it. Be sure to continue to ask about any questions you have here in the STS forum and we will do our best to answer many questions daily. But as for Blog updates, we need to wait until we have completed the next phase or the updates would be rather repetitive.

Enjoy the rest of the holiday :)

Thanks, Cathe....yes, I will have to be careful in that regard, I've come too far to ruin the progress I have made.

Regarding the toruists...never underestimate the power of alcohol on a cloudy day....:7 Seriously, it's not raining, and there was some sun today, firworks are still iffy for tonight.

What a great question Janie but gosh such a tough question to answer. Well, I love the legs workouts in all of the mesocycles equally. But for upper body, hmmm, let me think on that for a second... Gosh, I just don't know. I like how mesocycle one keeps moving from one exercise to the next keeping it fresh, but I like how mesocycle two goes for "the sting" in the muscle and mesocyle three makes you "see stars" when you finish each set...LOL. I also like the intensity training priciples used in two and three like wave loading, back off sets, etc.

Well, I'm not sure I really answered your question Janie but I gave it my best shot :7

Uh oh - I'm seeing stars just thinking about it. Too much to fathom, LOL!

This will be great!

Hi Cathe -- I have a few questions about the idea behind 37 workouts. What made you decide to make the separate workouts for every day as opposed to just making 3 workouts that you do for 4 weeks straight? Were you trying to give us more variety or was there some training aspect involved that helps us grow within each Mesocycle?

I've always been one who enjoys doing the same weight workouts for a 4 week period, seeing how I grow with it, improve, etc., so I'm wondering if I'd miss that or if I'd want to later do a rotation where I pick my favorite 3 from each Mesocycle and repeat them for each cycle. Do you think that would give less favorable results?
