Any inline skaters?

Just finished my first spring skate (finally warm enough in WI!). 10 miles. The first 5 I thought, "this is easy" and just enjoyed the sun and weather. Although all the flags flapping in the direction I was heading did predict what awaited my on the way back;( But it can be so deceiving. It was TOUGH:) Got home to find that it was a 9 mph wind:-( Great workout and even greater to be outside! Now to mow that lawn;-)

Oh, I can't WAIT to get skating this year. I have an awesome trail near me that's a 6 km loop and I do it four times. 24 km in all. I'm not sure how many miles that is, but my legs are usually pretty much toasted by the time I'm done!

I love skating and it is a wonderful way to tone up your legs.
I prefer the four wheeled variety myself and I also love ice skating.
Unfortunately there aren't so many places to skate here anymore other wise I would be doing it all the time.

I really love to skate. Used to go out a lot, not so much these days but want to get back into it. I was thinking of getting some training sessions to show me how to stop, since I only know how to go fast without stopping! LOL! Not very safe.

In line will do wonders for your tush though. When I do it alot I can have rock hard glutes without the help of Cathe!

Oh, I also love to use my GPS for skating. Timex GPS. It tells me how far I went total and the speed I am going in MPH. Really neat. I have topped out at 19 MPH. :)

I love to inline skate. In fact, I went out yesterday for only 9 miles but there was a relatively strong wind. It felt great. Plus, I went country dancing last night from 7:30-12:30 a.m with only a few breaks. No wonder my legs and feet were tired & sore today.

Grand Rapids has really good paved trails to inline skate or bike on. I plan on going again tomorrow with my son (but for a shorter distance) and then to watch the Whitecaps play baseball.
