Hey everyone,

I've been lurking the Cathe forum for awhile and recently started trying to get more active with posting etc. So far, I'm loving the support, humor, and great fitness advice to be found here. Tonight, I was just thinking about what other Cathe fans out there are in college like me. Just curious, I'd love to say hello and chat...do you bring your Cathe workouts to school? Use your university's gym? Play sports, club sports? Also, I was thinking if there are any of you out there, maybe we could start some time of check in heading back to school at the end of august to keep ourselves motivated through the busy start of the school year, just a thought! Anyway, just curious, talk to some of you soon I hope :)

Hi Catie,

I'm 24, but still a college student. I commute so my workouts are at home, either before school or after school. The gym membership is too expensive at the school. Besides that, I don't play any sports. I'd love to learn tennis, though. And I watch soccer games at a neighborhood park on Sundays. But that's about it. Anyways, I would love to do a check-in with you and anyone else who's interested.

Hey Catie!!
Phew! I'm not the only one!! I am 19 and going to UC Davis in CA, and I will be going into my sophmore year. No, I don't bring my cathe workouts to school because I live at home which is only 20 minutes away from school, and my family just put in our own gym in our used-to-be garage which I absolutely love!!! I don't play any sports because I hate competitions, which is why I prefer videos I can do at home. I think its a great idea to have a college "check in" to make sure us college students get our noses out of the books once in a while and do something for our health!! Where do you go to school?? What are you studying? I am planning on studying nutrition actually, I guess you can say I am majorly into the health thing!! heehee..but luckily I don't have to go back to school until the very end of september...aahh...summer....:p

Hey Catie, Chiquita, and Leslie!!

It is nice to know there are some other college age people out there. There is so much good information out here and this board is so friendly. I'm 23 and yes still in college, working on my masters though. I live with SO off campus so I usually workout at home where I can workout with him or at least spend time with him. I don't play any sports though because between research, work, school, and family there really isn't any time.

I think it is so neat catie that you are studying nutrition. I wish I had gone into a more fun and interesting field, but hopefully I will still like the work I do when I'm done.

Hey leslie your very lucky to have a long summer I start back Aug. 22, bummer. I have some trouble keeping up with my workouts during finals..yuck.

Nice to *meet* you guys

Hi Angel, Chiquita and Leslie,

Nice to meet you guys :) Angel, Leslie I believe is actually the one studying nutrition...I am a speech pathology major with a double minor in special education and exercise science (<- just for fun). I go to James Madison University in VA and will be a senior this year. I can't believe how fast it's gone...but I'm a big dork and love school so I'm excited that I get to go to grad school (looking at Florida or Colorado so we will see...I either need to be skiing and hiking all the time, or in the sun even though its bad for your skin, oh well). I have some room to workout to Cathe this year at school bc I have a single room in my sorority house...the workouts I'm planning to bring with me are basic step/body fusion, kick max, stretch max, high step circuit... We have an AMAZING fitness facility at our school and I workout there alot...it's been an award winning program nationally. We're really lucky as students to have such a top notch health and fitness center. I participate in club sports as well, golf and ski club ... and I'm seriously considering training with a friend for a sprint triathlon this year...I just need to muster up the total discipline to do it. Anyway, just a few more weeks of summer left...we go back the last weekend of august...2 more semesters to go! I'll check in with you guys now and again and I'd love to meet any other college kids out there so come say hi to us!

Catie :)
