I'm thinking about selling Avon, but I don't want any star-up costs to mess with. Have any of you sold Avon? If so, please let me know what it entails.

I'm on my way out so I just thought I'd let you know how it works.
I think right now the startup kit is $10. This gives you 10 or 20 brochures (not sure how many) to start with. Your profit is determined by how much you sell. You are guarenteed, I think, 30% and then it goes up from there on what your sales are.
I've had an excellent experience with it and like I said I've been selling for 12 years. I actually just retired from all the deliveries but am still an active rep. My profits range from $200-400 per month.
One good thing about Avon - it sells itself. All you have to do is put brochures around and you will get calls.
You need to find the district manager of your area. Call Avon and find out who it is. You can find their number at avon.com

Thanks, Debbie! I'm a SAHM, and I just want to feel like I'm contributing to the household income, even if it's just a couple of hundred dollars a month. I design a newsletter for a little income, but this sounded like it would be fun too. Thanks for letting me know generally how it works.
