Thanks - I love photography. We had a darkroom when I was growing up and it was a big hobby of mine. Going to Yosemite has sparked that interest again, so it's kind of nice. My 12 year old is really into it too. I'll have to post his pic of Mono Lake. He has an eye for it! He's actually saving up for his own $700 camera!

It's been a hobby of mine since I was a kid, too. I dabbled in the darkroom a little bit way back when while in college but dropped off in recent years, mainly b/c of time. Like Yosemite did for you, the birth of my niece last August sparked my interest again, and a few months ago, I ventured into digital. I'm really, really enjoying my Canon Rebel and am looking to take a refresher course, hopefully this fall.

All these pics were taken with the Canon Rebel. I bought it specifically with our trip in mind. I thought Yosemite deserved more than a point and shoot camera
I'm thinking about entering some in our local fair photography contest around Labor Day. I have several pics in my exam room at work and clients have made several nice remarks - it's a great conversation starter!
