another use for the Tower

while doing GS Chest & Triceps today I remembered how I liked using the rope for triceps push downs (standing, facing the cable holding the ropes that look like an upside down Y).
so, grabbed my resistance band, looped it over the top of the Tower one full time and then faced the side of the tower. worked like a charm!
 
Great idea! This made me think of the exercise where you use the "Y" looking thingy that comes with a gym machine to do crucnhes...don't see why you couldn't stand just like you said and do forward crunches pulling down on band. (Contracting ABS while doing a pelvic tilt and pulling elbows downtoward side of waist.) Thanks for the idea!
 
ooh, didn't think of that w/ the crunches, but you'd have to put the tube in the middle & approach the Tower from the usual side (so the pole won't hit ya! LOL). it's not quite the same as having the cable weight, but it works pretty well!

can't wait for the new Barre workout!!
 
Yes, I thought the same thing about having to be on the usual side so it doesn't tip...I might just get someone in trouble! :O I am also very excited for the Barre workout!
