Another Question if you don't mind

I pierced my belly button exactly one week ago and it is doing pretty good, it itches and hurts now and then and I think the after care I am doing is pretty good, My question is, I hurt my back pretty bad when I was moving the computer room around and the desk was extremely heavy, after I did that my back was so bad that it was hard to breath, the pain is not that bad but hurts enough to where I want to soak in a hot bath, is it ok to soak my belly button it hot water?

That will be fine. While you are soaking give your ring a few turns, like you are supposed to do every day. Then do whatever cleaning process you are doing after you get out. Sometimes when my ring would get hard to turn, I would take a hot shower or bath and soap it up real good.

Hope your back feels better!

Really, I don't know about the soaking part. I say this while grimacing. I'm a nurse and the sad part is I am freaking way aware of germs almost to the point of phobia. Obviously your body is craving that heat to loosen you up & by all means don't deny yourself, but the way to go preferably is heating pads or even hot showers with the water spraying your back. ALso, one of my coworkers had some sort of heating device she bought at the store that she applied to her kneee. That would work. I have access to heel warmers for little babies when they need blood drawn, & all of us at any occasion will break one out & use for neck pains, heel pains or back pains.

But when you say tub bath, all I can picture is stagnant water. Floating germs. Cess pool. I know I'm probably exxagerating, but considering how much I've learned about the spread of germs & how much I work in such close proximity to them, I think I've done really good. Myself & my family rarely get sick.

Take care,
Marla
