I'm one of those people who find the telephone an interruption. I hate answering it. I hate listening to voice mail and if it's a long voice mail...well, it usually doesn't get entirely listened to. Ramblers really tick me off.
So this morning I get into work and there's a message on my voice mail from this employee who had called my assistant. This person had to tell me that she called my assistant first, but got my assistant's voice mail that she wasn't going to be in until Tuesday, so the employee called me instead. Then she goes blah, blah, blah about what she wants for a good 30 seconds before she tells me she's going to call me back. If you're going to call me back....WHY LEAVE ME A VOICE MAIL IN THE FIRST PLACE?!?! I should have put that in my pet peeve list the other week.
I'm a very short and to the point person. Except when I'm writing, of course, as you all can probably tell.
