<---speaking of bluebirds, here's a non <-- story:
DH has bluebird boxes in the yard and feels very fatherly towards the birds. He buys mealworms at a nearby bait shop to feed them. He puts the worms on a bench in the middle of the yard and makes a kissing kind of sound and as soon as he's about 10 feet away, they zoom in on the treat. Sat. afternoon he headed over to the bait shop, but they were closed, so by Sun. we were all out of mealworms. Sunday evening we were relaxing on the patio and Mr Bluebird flew to the bench, cocked his head, then looked at us. Mrs. Bluebird did the same. Next thing we knew, Mr & Mrs and their 4 babies were on the rooftop of the house chirping at us. They were POed!!! First thing Monday morning, DH headed to the bait shop to appease the bluebird family. Wish he'd respond that quickly when he makes me mad!
