Yes! They came regular USPS, receipt signed by Amy & address/return address handwritten. What a nice touch!

I'm ready to Rumble!!!!! I will do that one today, ASC3 will have to wait until Labor Day. What a great Labor Day present! :)

whoohoo! I like when new workouts come in, it's like Christmas!
Let us know what you think about Rumble. In the meantime, I'll post my thoughts here if you don't mind.

I did two sections this morning wearing weighted gloves, except for the quick drills where Amy takes hers off. While my heart rate wasn't up there, I did work up a sweat. Actually, I didn't realize I was sweating until I put my gloves back on for the heavy bag section and they were full of sweat. Ewww. I checked my top and it was sweaty, too.

Main workout:
Amy takes you through some moves on one side, adds to it, does it a few times, then switches sides and does it again. You go through a few rounds like that, then do a very short speed bag/shuffle before moving on to the next combo. It feels repetitive but it's not overkill. There were moments when after doing something a few times, I became confused, but I was probably putting too much thought into it, since it's not all that difficult.
I know some people stay away from Amy's cardio because it tends to be high impact, this isn't one of them. There's only one section of a small jump forward, followed by a jump kick, but it can be modified to a front kick.

Heavy bag:
I don't have a heavy bag but I did it without and I enjoyed it. I had asked about a kickboxing workout with a lot of kicks and I think these two heavy bag combos pack a lot of kicks in a short amount of time. Even though there were only two types of kicks, roundhouses and hook kicks, there were a lot of reps. I'm probably going to do the bag section twice instead of the main workout, which I think has fewer kicks.

music:
I thought the music didn't stand out, but it's not something I hate, either. It was a little high during some sections (or was Amy's voice too low?) I think one of the tunes is from the original Ripped. It wasn't typical Amy Bento, high NRG stuff, but neither was the workout.

Final thoughts:
I didn't fall instantly in love with it like I did with Amy's other cardio workouts, but I liked it. It looks like something that could be done when you want a decent workout, but don't want to kill yourself.

fyi: I didn't do the stretch section.

Main workout:
Amy is her cheerful, beautiful self. I was really disappointed with this workout--not as bad as Tracy's Strikezone, but I will list on eBay. I didn't even work up enough sweat to shower afterwards. :( Very "drilly" little choreography---which is what she was going for, I guess. Just not my thing, I enjoyed her Xtreme Kickbox ALOT!!

1st Section:
4 sections, with weighted gloves. Okay, but drilly. I did sweat a little, but nothing like others. Amy's typical add on style, then combo 1-2. Same with combos 3-4

2nd Section:
"drills". Amy took off her weighted gloves, but I left mine on in hopes of getting some sweat going as I didn't in section 1. I did not get my HR up at all.

After 2nd session (around 40 minutes) she cools down & signs off before heavy bag. I thought this was akward--so I skipped past the section.

Heavy bag:
I don't have a heavy bag but I did it without and I was super bored. I even yawned, and thought to myself, that's it! I've had enough!

music:
I liked the music

Stretch:
I didn't do, but watched a bit of it. She does it with her "master" instructor who is a short stubby looking guy. I'm not fond of it when aerobic instructors bring "master" onto the scene of their workout. I'm sure they're great at what they do, but they aren't good in front of cameras....or at least I've never been impressed with any. :(

I'm eager to do ASC3, I know I'll feel different about this one!!! My opinion of Amy has not changed, she rocks!...just doesn't shine in this workout. ;)

Thanks for the reviews

Sorry you didn't like it Melanie. How disapointing. Mine haven't arrived yet. I don't know why I ordered ASC3. I still haven't gotten ASC2 down yet. I guess I was hoping it will be a little easier choeorgrahpy wise:)

Jacque, I debate whether I should post something so negative....I don't want to influence anyone elses feelings toward it. Have you tried ASC1? It's easier choreography-wise. Do you like ASC2? I haven't gotten it down yet (and haven't even attempted segment 5) but still love it. I"m so goal-driven so it's not like me to enjoy something that I haven't mastered. Oh well, I still really really really really enjoy Amy Bento and am not negatively impacted by the *one* video that I didn't care for. ;)

Melanie- Don't be afraid to post a negative review. It's good to hear the good and the bad. It's obvious that you love Amy (so you're not bashing her) you just don't care for this particular workout. From other reviews I've seen you're not the only one who didn't like it very much.

I have all of Amy's workouts (I haven't done them all though). I can do ASC1 but the second one still trips me up. I have yet to make it through the whole thing. My biggest issue is I have a hard time hearing her cues on this workout. It is fun though and I hope to be able to do the whole thing one day:)

Thanks for the reviews :) I hesitated on pre-ordering this one, but did just that on Saturday. I actually like kickboxing drills for a more relaxed workout where I can put my focus into form and really putting my all into my punches & kicks. I didn't like her KB Xtreme, nor did I really like Tracey's "Strike Zone". The clip didn't get me excited for the workout either, but after much thought, I figured her presale prices are excellent, and if anything, it will get me to use my free-standing bag a little. I guess to up the intensity on this workout, I will definitely have to use weighted gloves. Hopefully I will get mine soon, and not be too dissapointed.

Melanie, don't feel bad about your review. I've read negative reviews about workouts I happen to enjoy, and I've also written some negative reviews on workouts others love. For example, even today, I wouldn't really be able to give a positve review on KB Xtreme. It's just not for me. I sweat like crazy, but don't enjoy the workout. Working out has to be fun for me :)

I haven't gotten mine yet, but I'm a bit worried. I like the way it sounded in the description, but the clips of it look so slow and too broken down.

I like 'drill-type' choreo for kickboxing vs. choreographed 'kind KB" (at least the "Powerstrike" vs. "Janis Saffel's earlier stuff types). But I DON'T like slow! (It's fine for kicks, because it allows for height, but for punches, I want to go Michael Olajide speed!).

Does it seem 'too slow' for me? (read my mind, then you'll know, LOL!).

If so, I'm hoping I can double-time to make it work.

The stretch segment sounds bad, from what I've read: bouncing? What's with martial artists and bouncing stretches? I may have to sub here and do my own thing if that's the case.

I have heard the music is pretty much the same as in Jari Love's first workout, which I liked a lot, so that will help.

Just wondering if I'll get it today....?

(I hope Cathe is already making plans for the MMA series, so filming can start ASAP! I want those in my greedly little hands).
