Hello everyone,

Can I have your opinions on either of Amy's strength training workouts? I previewed APX and I liked it but there seems to be some equipment that I don't own like the body bar and tubing. I don't like to use too much equipment and not considering buying more at this point. Does she have modifications for these moves in the video? And what is the intensity of All Pump and APX?

I am considering buying Amy's step workouts and thought the strength traning one looked different and worth a try. I would like your opinion on any of Amy's workouts.

APX
All Pump
Cardio Pump - Step
Cardio Pump - Hi/Low
Advanced Step Challenge
Hi/Low Extreme
Kickbox Extreme
A Team Bootcamp

Thank you all or your input.

APX - very long but good premixes. One part of back exercises usus 24 risers and people complained about that but overall you are getting close to 2 hours of workout on this DVD. I didn't purchase b/c so much footage is included on her HLX dvd in the form of premixes.
AP - very sweet and short, and sweaty total body workout in around 40 minutes including WU and stretch. Nice for when you are short on time.
CPS -short, sweet, sweaty workout that hits everything in around 50 minutes. Love it!!! About 20 min. of step followed by 20 min. of total body pump.
CPHL -very sweet, short, and sweaty, total body workout in again around 40 minutes - love it!!! About 20 min. of hi/lo followed by 20 min. of total body pump.
ASC - one of my favorite step tapes. Short, fun, sweaty and I love the power up section - around 50 minutes I believe, but you will be sweating!
HLX - GREAT, GREAT, hi/lo workout. Great premixes, great music, over one hour, a lot of APX footage within 3 premixes.
KBX - fun, hi/lo workout with kickbox flair. Again, great music, great premixes, and total fun!

I started out with HLX and KBX. These are her latest as well as APX and the production, length, music to voice ratio have improved greatly in these lastest workouts. The others are her first offerings, but so worth the money in my opnion. CPS and CPHL are good for stringing the two cardio routines together for 40 min. of step and hi/lo and then stringing the two pump routines together for 40 min. of pump making one long 80 min. workout or doing the cardio one day and the pump the next. 'Just some ideas to change things around with these. Amy gets better and better, listening to the input of what her customers want while staying true to what she does best. Her cardio is more complex than Cathe's and there is a bit of a learning curve but she's athletic at the same time. I find a lot of her cardio as tough as Cathe's once I learn the routine. She is filming this fall and one of the workouts planned is Advanced Step Challenge 2. Her pump workouts are a mix of heavy, endurance, with somewhat of a functional twist thrown in here and there. I've really become a huge fan of her workouts. My Amy's and my CIA's are some of my favorite new workouts I purchased this year!

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw a picture of that on a picture gallery. What was she thinking? Did she think we have $$$$$ in our pockets?

Thank you so much for your comments, I will buy some of the workouts as I like the look of the workouts.

I have A team bootcamp, APX, KBX, Cardio Pump Step. I like all of them. All Pump X is a really good workout. I did substitutions on some of the moves. Where she had all those risers I put my bar from barbell across two folding chairs. I do not have a body bar I used my barbell where this was used. I do have tubing. You could sub weights. Also on the ab work she uses gliding discs. I did not have them at first so did the pike side walking on the hands thing on a stability ball. Same for rollouts. KBX is fun. Cardio Pump step has a short step workout and short but good strength workout. The premixes are good. They mix the cardio and weight segments for a circuit type workout.
