Hi everyone,
Just had to share.
I picked up a low carb pasta at the Whole Foods store in my neighborhood. According to the product information on the back of the package, this pasta has 18 grams of carbs, 8 grams of fiber, and a whopping 28 grams of protein per 3/4 cup dry serving. But how does it taste? I made some last night and it cooked up just like regular pasta and has a taste exactly like whole wheat pasta (which I happen to like a lot
). The ingredients are defatted soy flour, pasteurized egg white, rice flour, wheat gluten, and isolated soy proteins.
The brand name is Darielle and I found it at the Whole Foods in my area. You may want to check some of the bigger health/organic stores in your area.
Can't wait to try this in other dishes I love (like baked pasta w/ cheese, this broccoli/cheese gratin I love, etc.)
