Am I crazy

I'm not nuts about it. I think I've done KickMax twice! Sad thing is...I get the best DOMS in the rear delts the next day! You'd think I'd do it more! I really do love the hammer lunges but get my fix with HSC!!

I didn't answer your question...Yes, you are crazy but it has nothing to do with Kickboxing!:* :* :p :p
 
Maybe you could learn to love what it does for you, and do it for that reason. I'm always talkin' about doin' those lousy pushups, and I do them till the cows come home - NOT because I like to do them, I like what they do FOR me.

Kickboxing is good core, leg and butt work. So do your abs, legs and butt need work? If you are the typical female, I'll bet they do! Then just give it a chance.

so don't do it. you don't have to love everything just because it's good for you. just like not everyone's a runner, and so on. if that was the first you ever did, i might suggest giving it a little time, but after that you can decide.

Billy Blanks has an inflatable (spelling?) bag for that reason,I think it's $20. It's called a Billy Bag.:)

I don't really care for kickboxing either, but it gives me awesome DOMS.

So, I add parts of Cathe's kickboxing w/o to my run, etc. For example, I'll tack KMax's blast section on or just do KPC's intermediate and high intensity drills. This way I get some of the benefits from it, but don't dread the w/o quite as much!

Cardio Kicks drills are the only kickboxing moves I look forward to and again just 15 minutes!:)
 
I think it's fun for a change, but it's not my first choice. I like the routines and the kicking and punching is fun, but I'm a cardio nut. I want pure, full-steam-ahead jumping and stuff. Keeping my feet on the ground during the punching sequences makes me antsy.
 
Maybe i just need something or someone to hit to knock out frustrations.
The Karate club up a block from my shop has a kickboxing class. I may sit in on it to see if i like it.Something to get me out of the house.All I do is work and workout, cook and clean.
I don't know if it is worth 80 bucks a month though.
Katrate is supposed to be great exercise.Of course shopping is a way out of the house too.
Do we all agree.

You're not crazy, but maybe it's just not for you.

I happen to LOVE kickboxing: it's challenging, a good way of toning the upper body while doing cardio, makes me feel strong and powerful(especially after I got the moves down and can now move faster than my first boxing workout---which left me in the dust feeling uncoordinated and slow when I first got it!). If I had my druthers, and it were not a bad idea!, I'd do it every day!

I never think about the "hitting the air" thing, but if that's something you can't get past, and it bugs you, then maybe KB isn't for you.
 
Nah, I dont care much for kichboxing either, even though it does give me a good workout. I never do KPC or KM, for some reason it's my least favorite workout.
 
Do you have Cardio Kicks? I really prefer this of all Cathe's Kickbox workouts because it's more choreographed like a sort of HiLo routine. I've done KM only once (except for the drills as add-ons), and have not done KPC for a long time.
