Good Morning!:)

I am up early to get my run in before work:) Im aiming for 6 miles and some ab work as well. Yesterdays workout ended up being PUB, IMAX 3 (7 seg) and abs. My SIL ended up popping into town with my neice so my workout was put off until she left.
DS did o.k with his needles but had a hard time settling down last night. Im not sure if it was the heat or the needles, I guess he will be sleeping in today.

Lora** Hope everyone as work was better yesterday!

Wendy** Nice workout yesterday! How is the program going? Have you lost anymore weight? I just had to try the cinnamon melts at McDonalds last night:9 They were sooo yummy!

Jen** Im happy that my workout room is in the basement. It is usually nice and cool down there. I can't complain about the heat though. As hot as its been the past couple of days...I hated all that rain!

Jacque** Did you get your 3 miles in? No popsicle for DS yesterday. Certainly not at the playground anyway. He probably would have dipped it in the sand and then ate it:7 He did have some ice cream yesterday evening...hmmm...maybe thats why he couldn't get to sleep ;)

I will bb to report my workout when I get to work! Have a good day everyone!
Lori:)

Morning Ladies-

This morning I was all set up to do WSFL...but this morning at the last minute, I couldn't bear the thought of those step ups/KB swings, etc....so I pulled out NROL and did one of the Fat Loss rotations of Giant Sets (closest thing to metabolic circuits I can think of). The reps were 12 in the first giant set and 20 in the second giant set...so it sure was different with lighter weights. Hope I went heavy enough. Will need to experiment. I finished off with intervals. I did 3 sets of 45/30-60 on the Rebounder. I kept my HR higher on the rest periods and was able to get my HR up to 168...so I was happy about that! Total workout was 63" with cooldown and stretch and I burned 528 calories.

Thanks for listening my "work woes".. Yesterday was rough. Lots of touchy females going off. Can't stand cattiness. I make the same mistake all of the time. When I first start a job and the women are "nice", I divulge too much info about myself and then when the "newness" wears off and the cattiness/jealousy come out.....they resent me for the very things I was open about! You think I'd learn by the ripe old age of 49!!!

On the flip side, I have a job interview this afternoon. Got a call from a Carpet Cleaning company in town. They had my resume from 2 months ago for a part-time position I applied for and they now need a full time secretary and the lady spoke with both my DH and me....and she REALLY liked my DH and told me she can't wait to meet me today....so we shall see what they have to offer and if I think I would like the job. She mentioned something about me practically running the place and that there are 2 other girls working there and the company is thriving. She was impressed with the recent "diversity" ......(or whatever you want to call my recent period of doing all sorts of different jobs).

The bad thing is I also have a doc appt today...so my supposed "half day" at work due to me working Saturdays now ....is going to be way too busy! but.......such is life.

Thanks for listening to my rambling!

Have great workouts everyone.

One last comment.............why is it that women that are not fit resent us "fit women" soo much??? It's their choice to eat donuts, fries and be sedentary!!!!! It really rubs me the wrong way!

Hi Ladies.

Lori: How did your early morning run go? I am not doing A/B this month. I switched over to kettlebells for a while. I am LOVING them! No weight loss. My weight is basically the same though it is fluctuating with in the same 3-4 pounds due to my eating. I eat well for a few days and then totally blow it the next! I need to get a grip!x(

Lora: Good luck with your job interview. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. I have NROLW but not NROL. I am wondering if I should pick up NROL. I've been told it's good for making month long rotations.

Today is going to be a rest day finally.

BBL~

Hey Girls!

Im done with my workout and getting some work done. I did 6 miles and that was it. Went to do abs but had to run to the potty instead:+ It was a tough interval run. I swear those interval runs are alot harder then my straight 9 miles.

Lora** I get very irrtated by those types of people as well. I am also bothered by the people who think that just b/c you workout, thats all you want to talk about. Over the yrs, I have learned to keep my mouth shut about what I do. I have been in the company of people who roll their eyes when the word exercise gets brought up. Its almost as if they are saying, "oh no...here she goes" But I always change the subject. I have also learned, like you said, that it is their problem and not mine. They are just irked b/c they can't find the "time" or the energy to workout! Then they resent people like us, who do. I got into a huge fight about 8-9 yrs ago with my SILs friend b/c her friend brought up running, I commented on it and she told me that I was obssessed, not diciplined! I told her off, telling her that she doesn't know anything about my life or what I do in the run of a day. Of course, she agreed, apologized and left. She use to be overweight as a kid but lost alot of weight but for some reason still sees herself as fat.
Oh and then there are the people who think that you don't eat either...or all you eat is lettuce and carrots!

I should go and do something I suppose! lOL

Lori:)

Wendy** We posted at the sametime. I know what you mean about the eating. When I am really good, I feel good and my weight will dop 3-4 lbs as well. I will get as low as 121 and then bounce back up to 123, for no reason (which doesn't bother me) but when I eat what I want and workout, I will maintain 124-125 (mostly 125) I don't have any kettlebells...nor do I even know what they look like:eek:

Plane on the ground! Gotta go!!!
Lori:)

Good morning, girlies!!

I did AB weights this morning, workout A, and that's the last time I'll do that one (I think, unless he revisits it in later stages.) Not unhappy to say au revoir to that!! The change is coming just in the nick of time.

Lori, glad to hear DS did okay with the shots. In response to your post about women and their cattyness toward those who are fit, I think it has a lot to do with the fact that they don't want to hear that it's actually HARD work to maintain a good body. They want to think that it either comes naturally to you or that you look good because there's something wrong with you (i.e. obsessed.) To think otherwise would cause them to inspect themselves, realize that they DO have control over the way they look, and that they have to work harder to obtain it. Most people don't want to do that.

Lora, sorry to hear about your work troubles. I'll tell you, I've been at my job for almost a year now, and my co-workers know very little about me. Like you, I've always revealed too much and become too friendly with co-workers, and it always makes life more difficult. This time there's none of that. We're friendly on a professional level. They know nothing about my private life, other than obvious things like I have two kids, I'm not married, I love shoes...:D and that's it. It is working out VERY well this way.

Wendy, I bought NROL a few weeks ago (I know, shocker  !). I was going to start one of the Fat Loss rotations but picked up Afterburn instead. That being said, I haven't given it an in depth read. I'll have to do that soon, maybe next week while the kids are gone, and I'll give you my review.

Have great days everyone! I'll BBL~

Jen

Jen** Sounds like you are happy that that workout is in the past?}( Its bad when we have to do a certain workout, that we dislike!

I also wanted to chime in something else about the catty women. I think we all have a little cattiness in us. Most women, do not like other women...plain and simple. Especially when they are attractive. And I think women look at other women, more then men look at women! LOL Its just the way its always been ( I think...haha!)

Im just wasting time, waiting for lunch to roll around. I don't get this much downtime at home. I should enjoy it more then I do! Sitting down makes the day alot longer!

Lori:)

Just popping in for a sec. Getting ready for my interview.

Thanks for the advice on the coworkers, but the problem is that I've already messed up and divulged too much info. Hopefully they'll forget??? or could I get so lucky??

On a lighter note - I got the first installment of the One on One with Tony today. It's Plyo Legs and I HATE working legs.....so I'm not sure how long before i attempt it. I also ordered the Melt It off With Mitch Gaylord series......so I'll keep you posted when I get that as well as my Dove workouts taht seem to be taking forever to get here!!

Hi all - guess it is most likely evening where most of you are.

Didn't hit the TM yesterday - forgot about a webinar I needed to finish. 4 hours last night and 4 tonight so don't think I'll be working out today. Had to get to work early to finish a payroll project for mid day today.

Lora - I'm like you too - too much told, but hard part is that I am down at the end of the hall with my assistant and it's kinda hard not to talk at all. These days since she's very friendly with most of the office I kinda keep to myself. I think most people are used to it now. Not sure what they think of me, but oh well ! Hope your interview went well - do keep us posted.

Lori - glad DS is doing OK - LOL at the popsicle with sand on it :7 Nice to see you getting a break at work.

Wendy - so didya really take a rest day?}(

Jen - too funny about workout A. It seems as though the AB workouts are quite long. I am intrigued though.

Need to get back to work - have a nice evening for those of you that make it back here.
