Good Morning Gals!

I had plans to get up and workout before work today even though I raced yesterday...just a small workout b/c my eating this weekend wasn't the best. But I could feel the DOMS in my legs even before I moved! LOL So I thought it was best to take a rest day.

I posted on the OD forum how my race went. I was sooo excited last night when the results came in, I knew I did good but I had no clue how many people were behind me.
The day was kinda muggy and rainy but it wasn't to bad for a run. There were also tons of people there and I was soo ready! It was also broken up into groups so I got into the 85-95 mins group. I was aiming for 90 mins but was hoping for better.
I did good all throughout the race. I didn't stop for water, didn't tie my shoes, no stitches...etc...but on mile 9 near then end (which I didn't know was the end) people started to speed up and so did I. The finish line was a little further then I expected though and I started to feel sick. If the race was 11 miles, I would have had to stop and take a breather.
The results were 10 miles in 78:33 mins, came 9th out of 124 (age group), 67th out of 1025 females, and 372 out of 2047 people who ran. And boy are my legs SORE! There is also a 10 kms race here next Sun morning, Im thinking about doing that one as well.

I have to get ready for work but I will bb later. Im gonna stop and get the local paper on my way to work...never know there might be some pics in there!

Morning Ladies -

This morning I did Barry's Boot Camp - Fat Blast - Upper Body Emphasis - Mission Lower Body Advanced, Mission Abs Advanced & Mission Upper Advanced. Workout was 73" and I burned 546 calories.

My mission this week is to get used to these workouts and learn how to increase the intensity. He uses bands for these...so I'll try using some DBs in places, adding ankle weights and add weight to the ab and leg work.

Have great workouts everyone.

Lori - great job on the race. I could never run that far. I'm a running wimp. I usually have to do run/walk intervals.

Hey girlies,

Quiet thread today! It's Monday, I guess. I'm kind of in a little fog...took me a while to get here.

Lori, AWESOME race, girl!! You must be so excited! I knew you'd do well, and I knew you'd want to do others. It's cool you're thinking about a 10k this weekend. That's going to seem like cake to you after a 10 miler!

Lora, great workout again. I have Barry's Bootcamp and have yet to try them out. Gonna have to look into that.

Well, this morning was a cardio day for me, so I did HIIT and SS on the tread. After the weekend I had, it had to be something that required little to no thinking, so a machine it was! Got a really good workout in though, with the steady state done on an incline.

Okay, back to work, but will be checking in to see if anyone is around.

Good afternoon ladies.

Can't believe how late it is already - no time no time no time.:(

I did get back on track and do my MM UB workout this AM. Saved abs and think I'll add a SS run on the TM this afternoon. Too much misc crappy food this weekend - need to recoup with some healthy stuff and much delayed exercise.

Lora - I am still boggled at the # of DVD's you have girl ! ! ! Sounds like an interesting rotation you have going with the bands. Have you had DOMS from them again?

Lori - HOLY COW GIRLIE ! What a fantastic race you had. Way to keep with the crowd and TOTALLY beat out your intended time. Man oh man I am so happy for you. Haven't had a chance to visit the Open Discussion yet but will go there when I get to my lunch. Good idea to take a rest day and then a short easy workout is good when you are tired and still have DOMS.

Jen - boy it has been quite quiet lately. I too am looking forward to setting the ol' TM and watching an episode of 24 today. And got to get to work too !:D

Will most likely be checking back in to see if anyone decides to be "chatty" today. ;)
