Morning Ladies -

This morning I did WSFL cardio. Six rounds of 60/90 intervals (was supposed to be 60/120 but I cut the recoveries short). I used the Rebounder for the intervals. Only got my HR up to 162 today. For the 20 minute segment, I did Strike Zone and my HR hovered around 80% of max. Total cardio with cool down and stretch was 55" and I burned 483 calories.

Have great workouts everyone.

Good Morning:)

Yesterdays eating was great and I feel sooo much better today! Once again, when I eat good, only then, do I realize how awful I was eating! LOL
I ran 9 miles yesterday but I didn't get my weight workout in. When I was running, I saw my old running partner and she said that she was gonna give me a call after lunch. She ended up comming over until 4ish, then I had to run to walmart and then make dinner.
Im hoping for another run today,my weight workout and some abs.

Lora** Good job with the workout. You must be feeling better.

Im gonna try to catch up on personnals again.

Lori:)

Sunny** Sounds like you are having a great time working out with DH! I guess you really like him;) LOL

Judy** I have to weigh myself often b/c it keeps me on track, I know its just one of many numbers to go by, but I also measure myself and when the measurements go up, then I know my eating needs to be cut back.
I like working day shifts b/c I am away from the house for a little while, but my eating isn't good b/c I am up soooo early and picking at things throughout the day. BUT I also like working nights b/c I get to stay home all day with the baby...make any sense? Both are o.k, I don't think I really have a preference.

Jen** OMG! You poor thing! How uncomfortable were you in that wet clothes all day? I hate stuff like that and I can't handle it. When I went for a walk the other night with DS, he started to whine so I ran for a little while and I just had normal clothes on. I started to sweat in under my bra and I was sooo irritated! Hopefully your today will go better!

Jacque** How was your eating yesterday? Ready for another day? The first day is always the hardest and i think running in the heat yesterday kind of took my appetite away.

Wendy** Im happiest between 120-125. As of today I was 123.9. I was smaller then that before christmas but I don't think I can maintain that anymore. My life isn't as crazy as it was back then and I get to relax more and even eat my meals!

I think I have caught up! Have a good day everyone. I have baby group in the morning and will be working out after lunch.

Lori:)

Hi Ladies.

Today will be my first weight work out in Stage 2 of Afterburn. I'm excited to get started but I have to work this morning which means the work out has to wait. :-(

DS had a good day of potty training y'day. He hardly went to the bathroom in his pants at all! :)

Bowling was better last night. I bowled every game above my (pathetic) average and my DH bowled well too. Unfortunately that still only meant a one game win for us as the team we bowled against had an even better night! Figures! :p

I guess that's all for now. I'll be back later for personals once more folks have posted!

BFN!

Hi All!

Sorry I've been mia for a few days but everytime I started to post the phone rang, the kids or puppy needed me etc. Well, I took last week as a semi recovery week. I still worked out but not my usual routine. I took a vacation from teaching my regular classes and I feel rejuvinated. My mind and body needed the break. I have to read a few posts to catch up with everyone. My eating has been going well. :) I've been avoiding the baked goods the majority of the time which is a huge improvement for me. Today's workout is Newport - can't wait. I've got my game face on!

I'll be back with personals.

A friend in fitness,
Shirl

Good morning girlies!!

I did AB Stage 1 Workout A this morning. Holy weightlifting, Batman, these just don't get any easier :p I did increase my weights on everything, but only by five pounds. It was enough to reach exhaustion, though.

Lora, great workout, as usual!

Lori, great job on the eats and the run! How do you do it? Nine miles is a long run, and you do that quite often. I gotta give you credit, because I'd never last. So after about an hour of sitting in sopping wet clothes yesterday, one of my co-workers suggested that I borrow her jacket and go into the ladies room and dry my pants with the automatic hot air hand dryer. God bless her for thinking of it, because I hadn't! It worked like a charm! I was much more comfortable after that. The lesson for me was to keep a rain coat in my car at all times, now.

Wendy, yay for potty training success!! It sounds like he's adjusting to it very well. I know so many people whose kids aren't training until they're like, five. My nephew was like that, and one of my best friends two kids didn't train until that age. I don't know how they did it. I was lucky that my son trained at just about the same age as yours, (3 yrs. 1 mo.), and my daughter was a little younger than that. Oh happy times :7 . Looking forward to hearing about your Stage 2 workout.

Shirl, nice to see you! Good job on the eats. Have a great workout today!

Can you tell the boss is in court right now? Little chatty, aren't I? :+

I'm having dinner with a girlfriend tonight, so that means a drink or two. Ya know, being social can really wreak havoc on one's diet! But I'm going to try to keep it to one and then have club soda. We're going to a really nice seafood restaurant, so I should at least keep the food in control.

Okay, I shoulg get a little work done.

BBS~

Hey Girls:)

Still no workout for me but the house is quiet so I thought it would be a great time to do some more personnals. Thats less I have to do later:p
We went to babygroup today but it didn't last long. I don't think DS wanted to be there so he cried over every little thing. There also have been so new ladies bringing their new babies so when he is walking around waving a stick, I kinda get a little nervous. I finally got the stick away from him, (he cried) wanted someones sippy cup (he cried) wanted my coffee cup (he cried) bumped his head (he cried) sooooooooooo after 30 mins of that, I packed him up and away we went! He is gone for a early nap now which is o.k cause I should be able to get my weight workout in while he naps and then when he wakes we can go for a run:) Weather permitting, of coursex(

Wendy** Im sooo not looking forward to potty training! How old is Joey now? 3? I think boys are harder to train then girls. Not only that, my mom trained my DD so I really have no clue how to do it! Enjoy your workout when you get it in:)

Shirl** That happens to me ALL the time. I sit down to catch up and something happens, thats why I am taking advantage of my quiet house right now:)

Jen** Glad you got more comfy after, could have been a long day in damp clothes. I think I would have had to pretend I was sick or something;) For some reason, my 9 miles don't feel like 9...I think its the different route. When I ran that far before, there was a st I had to run a couple of times, now it doesn't feel like I am going around in circles. As for the 'ole diet....I hear ya! Whenever I try to behave myself something comes up. Tonight we are having family here and we are having lobsters (again) with all the trimmings. Not only that, our neighbours are VERY social people who like a drink in the evenings, I haven't been sucked into it yet but DH always seems to find his way to their house:eek: :)I may end up having one tonight though...we will see :)

Alright, I will be back again later!

Lori:)

Poppin' in before shower and work.

Did CC#2 - sure gets my HR up there during the hills - apparently I need to do this more often because I end up in the red zone (85-90%) more than I am supposed to be. I am tracking my HR, cal burn and mileage so I can determine any improvement as the weeks go by.

Will BBL for personals - looking good as I skimmed through quickly !

:7

Back for personals:

Lora - 80% is great and 162 is high for me. What % is that for you? Are you on your last week this week? Did you decide against taking the other job?

Lori - Good job on the eats ! I agree that what you put in definitely equates to your energy level and overall healthy feeling. I did well until DH broke out his Doritos. Had a few, then a few more, then realized I needed to STOP! Other than that I was really busy so didn't even quite finish my lunch. Work days are easy for me since I fix all my food and take it with me. All the goodies around here are not in my "secluded" area so they are easy to stay away from.
Nice to see an old friend - good for you. Hope you fit your weights in today. OK you - now I see you are having lobsters again. I'm thinking a RT to Canada may be a good idea soon ! LOL !

Wendy - Woo hoo on the potty training! What freedom when it is over.
Good bowling day too! Hope your first Stage 2 AB goes well - will be waiting for your report.

Shirl - Hello there - MIA happens, glad to see you back. Way to go on passing up most of the baked goods. Good to hear you PYGFO:+ Have a great workout after a well deserved break.

Jen - I think adding 5# is great and really makes a difference for me. I still get quite a good workout with Alwyn every time, especially with the leg exercises. Good that you figured out a way to dry off yesterday! Let's make a pact for tonight - I'm taking DS and DIL out for their 1st anniversary and my other DS & DD are coming too. Eat as well as possible and limit the adult beverages - check in tomorrow? I think we may do suishi so won't be too bad, just the beer ! :9

Jacque, I'm in. Virtual pinky swear...Eat as healthy as possible and limit to the beverages! Sounds good to me!

Jen

Hi Girls,

Back from my run. I did about 70 mins or so. I had to cut it back b/c I have things to do other then working out;) Its funny how we get everything done and still work out but then everyone else as the excuse that they don't have the time?? Whats up with that???

Jacque** Beleive it or not, Im not in the mood for lobster. Once a yr is enough for me and this will be the 3rd time! DH is a lover though and they are really cheap right now.Ill think about you when I am eating it! hehe!!!

Lori:)

Oh dear. I had myself all hopped up to do my AB stage 2 work out for the first time and I just got a new KB work out delivered to my door! Now I have to choose! Oh the horror of having to make a decision! :7 :p ;)

I'll be back after my work out to let you know what I did and to do personals.

Toodles, dearies!:)

Hey Girls.

It's late but I've finally made it back for personals.

I stuck with my plan and did AB stage 2 work out A. I haven't even opened the new KB work out yet as I knew that would only tempt me more!}( I will do that one on Thursday or Saturday. :)

AB Stage 2 eating has you on a f20/c40/p40 eating plan. YIKES, hitting the c/p ratio is going to be TOUGH but I'll keep plugging away at it!;)

As for the work out. I enjoyed it. It went quicker then the stage 1 work outs did but somehow it didn't feel as tough. It was 2 super sets. Each super set was comprised of 3 exercises. You do 12-15 reps for each exercise and do the first superset 4x through before moving on to the 2nd one. I actually had the energy to do HIIT afterwards but as luck would have it, I did NOT have the time today. Oh well. I will do it tomorrow. No biggie. :)

Lori: So did you get your full work out in today? Buy anything good at Walmart y'day? }( Yes, Joey just turned 3 years old in mid May. Where has the time gone!?

Shirl: Sounds like you had a great "vacation" last week are ready to get back in the game this week. Good for you!

Jen: So how did dinner go tonight? Did you behave yourself with the drinks? }( OMG, my DH would have a fit if DS didn't potty train until he was 5! He can barely stand that the kid is 3 and still not trained yet!:7 Um..hate to say it, dear but no-the Stage 1 AB work outs do NOT get any easier. Well, I am sure they could if you lift lighter weights every week instead of heavier ones but we know you wouldn't do that, right!? ;) LOL

Jacque: I don't use an HR with CC. I'm too lazy for that! LOL I hope you can get your HR into the proper zones next time. I do it by perceived exertion the best I can.

Good Night!

Wendy, no I wouldn't do that! Lighter? Yeah, right!!

Um...dinner...?

*Sigh*

Tonight was a night of total overindulgence!

And guess what!

I don't care. I had a GREAT time!!! }(

My girlfriend and I caught up, had a fantastic dinner, a few damn good cosmos, and some deeeeeelicious dessert! And I'd do it again if you asked me to :7

So Wendy, I actually think I could do a 40/40/20 plan (if I don't socialize :p ), and you have me looking forward to Stage 2 weights!! Cuz stage 1 is killin' me!!! BUT, I'll reserve judgment until you do workout B. :) (Same here with DH...he'd have gone CRAZY if mine didn't potty train when he did. In fact, I have to admit, he did 85% of the training!! But I had an eight week old at the time.)

Jacque, hope you did better than I did tonight!

Jen

Jen,

No worries on the over indulgent evening. I had an over indulgent WEEKEND!}( :9 }( Glad you enjoyed yourself. You work hard so you deserve to treat yourself on occasion!

I didn't think the 40/40/20 plan would be that tough. I can go with out the extra carbs but trying to find the protein to fill in the gap is what's causing me the trouble! Need to buy more high protein foods next time I'm food shopping I guess. I haven't had low fat cottage cheese in the house the past few weeks. I need to re-stock it since I actually LIKE it. I know alot of folks can't stomach it but it's a great a great high protein/low carb source.:)

Oh my, an 8 week old while potty training a toddler!? YEOWZAS! DH and I are thinking of trying for a 2nd next spring/summer maybe. DS will be long trained by then...WE HOPE!!!:p

Ah well, time for this chic to get to bed.

Talk to you in the morning, girl!:)
Night!
