Morning Ladies -

This morning I did Abs Diet - Interval Cardio on the Rebounder followed by part of Strike Zone. Workout was 50" and I burned 495 calories.

I'm so stressed out about this Forum. I had to re-register and change my Forum name, etc., which I didn't want to do. I tried to get a password for my older name but nobody emailed it to me. I requested it several times. How the heck did everyone else get to keep their old names? I even had to change my email address!!

I've been enjoying my Melt It Off workouts with Mitch Gaylord. I have sore abs today from doing the ab segment yesterday.

I've missed everyone since i've not been able to access the Forum.

Hey Lora, If it makes you feel any better, there are lots of people who had the same trouble including myself and Jacque. They were supposed to work on the issue y'day. Not sure if it's fixed yet but once it is you can always request your password for your old name and go back to it if you want to. I don't think I'm gonna bother though...

Good Morning Peeps.

So today's work out will be 4DS Shoulders/Core/Calves and CC volume 3 or half of ITread 9/60 I think. I shouldn't even post what running work out I might do cause I never TRULY pick until I am on the treadmill. I may very well come back here saying I didn't something entirely different! LOL

I have some awesome DOMS in my chest this morning. I don't really feel it in my back but there's still time!:p

I woke up with a headache this morning. I hate that. I hope it goes away soon. I drank 2 glasses of water and took ibuprofen. Now all I can do is wait....

We swept all 7 points at bowling last night! We were in last place out of 12 a few weeks ago. This week we were in 10th before bowling last night so next week we'll be up again. We have to prebowl for next week though since we won't be around so we won't know what place we are in for 2 weeks. BUMMER. The suspense will kill me! LOL

Good Morning!

So excited today...my sister arrives at 2 o'clock! She hasn't been home in a year and we are gonna get to see her big belly! lol
I was hoping to get a run in before she arrived but it is raining out.Im hoping DS will let me workout downstairs while he hangs out with my mom for a bit. He as been pretty clingy lately.Im thinking it is b/c DH was gone and he spent the week with me.

Lora** Im starting to get use to the new site but it is taking a while.I don't really like change so I didn't see anything wrong with the old forum! haha! Its weird though,I had my new password in no time.

Wendy** What are your plans for the day? What workout are you gonna do?

BBL ladies! I have DS in my arms and I am typing with one hand.

ooooh, how far along is your sis? How long will she be staying? Have anything fun planned to do while she is here?
I'll bet you are right about your DS and his clingyness. If your mom doesn't mind the fussing then the best thing you can do is leave him with her while you work out. You want to break the cycle as quickly as possible or it will only get worse! I see it every day at work. Moms come in with kids whom have never left her side and when the moms try to leave the room they FREAK! We tell the mom's to just GO and let them cry. We will do our best to comfort them, etc but if you let their tears control you and keep you from doing what you want/need to do then you will NEVER have any time for yourself. They will get over it. They will get used to it. Unfortunately some moms won't listen. That's on them when they have a school aged child who FLIPS out on the first day!

Okay, enough of the lecturing. LOL I'm sorry to go on like that.

You're right, Wendy, not to mention that the kids that learn to control their parents with their tears and tantrums carry on that need/ability to control well past their toddler years. Before you know it, the parents are taking orders from their 15 year old. I see it all the time.

Anyway, Good Morning All!!

I took your advice, Wendy, and checked out some of my Cathe dvds for HIIT. This morning I did Drill Max Ultra Cardio Blast (I think that's what it's called) which was 39 minutes. I started off thinking it wasn't as intense as I wanted it to be, and ended up calling Cathe insane while I sucked my lungs back up off the floor. :p What fun! Definitely will be doing that one again. Way to go on the bowling improvement!!

Lora, glad to see you back! It was quiet around here yesterday! Which other Mitch Gaylord workouts have you done? They looked kind of cool when I checked them out, but I'm still on the fence.

Lori, so cool that your sister is visiting! How can you go a year between visits? My sister lives right in town and I don't see her enough in my opinion. I'd die if she was too far away! Hope you can get your run in.

Jen: There is a mom who used to come to the gym whose son was so attached that she had to take naps with him every day! How awful is THAT!? The only reason she came to the gym at all was because, at the time, her best friend worked in the daycare so she would leave her son with the friend. Otherwise, forget it! He still flipped out at first. By the time he got used to it, wouldn't you know that the friend quit her job and I haven't seen the woman since! The woman also had a !@#$% of a husband who was NO HELP TO HER WHATSOEVER but that's a story for another time! Let's just say that she couldn't even leave her kids with him at home while she went foodshopping. He refused to watch his own children!!! WTH are doing still married to this idiot!?!?!

Great job using Cathe for HIIT! She really has lots of options for it! The high step cardios. Kick Max Blasts and the original BootCamp cardio are among my faves along with the obvious choice...the IMAXES!

Hey Girls,

Still no workout yet. Im doing my moms hair right now so hopefully when I get that done, I can get a workout in. Im in such a lazy mood though! If I don't workout as soon as I get up or do SOMETHING, I feel like going back to bed. It doesn't help that it is raining either.

Wendy** I think some of the sillyness DH was getting on with is that fact that DS didn't cry when he left the room, but he did when I left the room. I think his remarks were out of jealousy! LOL He is use to it being the other way around. We had a wedding on Sat and DH left DS as 3 and didn't see him anymore until the next morning, and he was perfectly fine. Have fun with your workout! I am undecided as well about what I am going to do.I like getting a run in b/c its less warm up time and I get my workout over with faster.
My sister is about 25 weeks along now, she is sooo excited. We have seen pics of her belly but thats it.

Jen** My sister use to come home in the summer monthes and for christmas but they are trying to pay off their home so they can move home quicker. She also went on a little trip in Feb for invetro and thats why she didn't come home for christmas. She is home for 6 weeks, then back in Nov (after she has the baby) for 3 monthes~!!!!!

I think I am going to start my workout. My mom is playing with DS so I may be able to get some weights in and abs...then while he is eating his lunch I can get my cardio done.

So I've decided to bag the gym idea. I'm just not feelin' it this morning. I'm going to do my 4DS weight work out and add on some HIIT style cardio afterwards most likely since I don't like those step routines. Tomorrow and Thursday I will do both the weight work AND the cardio from 4DS as I like BootCamp and Kickbox. Friday I am going to try to squeeze in a gym visit before we head south.
 
Oh, speaking of HIIT and Cathe's KickMax et al, I ordered myself a heavy bag the other day :rolleyes: (Seriously, I have a problem. "Hi, my name is Jen, and I'm a fitness equipment shopaholic." 'Spose is could be worse. :eek:) Anyway, I think that will be a nice little shake up to the routine. Kickboxing is one of those things that I was addicted to for a while (a la Tae Bo). I used it so much and so often that when Cathe started coming out with hers, I couldn't totally get into it. But I've been wanting to try it out again, and I thought it would be fun if I could beat the cr*p out of something in the process :D I'll let you know what I think of it when I get it.

Lori, it'll be so nice to have her home for 6 weeks. Enjoy!! My sister is my best friend and I love spending time with her. In fact, I lived with her and her family for eight months after my divorce. We had a lot of fun.

Wendy, I know too many women who put up with that stuff, and I can only shake my head. Life is too freakin' short as far as I'm concerned. The LAST thing I need is an adult child to take care of. Sorry, his arse would have been kicked to the curb a long time ago! :p
 
Hello Girls.

I took Joey out for some playtime in his pool this morning and then it was lunch time. Now he's playin' in the house until it's time for a nap...which is happening VERY soon, btw!;)

An adult child? Yeah, no thanks is right! I don't deal with that either! :mad: My husband is not perfect...heck, no one is...but overall he's pretty good. If I want to do something sans the little one he has no problem if I leave Joey with him unless ofcourse I rudely tried to run over plans he already made then ofcourse, he'd get mad. I don't do that though so it's all good. :p

I'd love to be able to buy a heavy bag but alas, I just don't have the room. When we go to buy our next house it's gonna be all about the work out area for me. If it's not adequate then no sale baby!LOL
 
Work out is done! After the weights I chose the blast portions of BM2 power circuits with 60 seconds rests between for HIIT. Worked out well! :)

Gotta go but hope to be back later on tonight!
 
Howdy all you ladies !

Too frickin' busy at work today and tomorrow sucks big time as I lay off two long term employees - one I really like and have worked well with. So - definitely needed my workout this AM. It was Step Blast, haven't done that for a long time. I still need to do Abs afterwork and really want to just go for a run and let my mind wander.

Hey there Lora ! I thought you mighta gotten stuck like Wendy and I did. Mine had a space between Sunshine and 1528 before and I have two email addresses already so if you look, you'll see I'm a Junior member too. Oh well, maybe they will get the bugs out and we can go back to our old selves. Glad to hear Mitch's workouts are working for you. With all the Olympics starting soon it reminds me of his Olympic days.

By the way, anyone figured out how to get the posts to view from the earliest to the latest?

Wendy - way to go on your bowling ! Well, after reading through all of your posts I finally got to what you actually did today ! LOL !:p Sounds like you have a good week planned out - I'm so glad I'm not a gym member 'cuz I would so rather just hit my extra room and "kick some butt" without driving or dealing with others. And to jump into your conversation about DH's - my ex was an a$$ and if I ever asked him to "babysit" (his words) his kids he'd find something else to do so I'd have to hire a "real babysitter". His family was/is only a trophy to him - drunken ba$tard still is a jerk - funny to hear my kids say that now - they finally understand. OK - down off my box and on with the posting.:rolleyes:

Lori - sooooo coooolll :cool: your sis is coming (probably already there by now). I love being with my brother and his family. All 13 (wife, 5 boys w/2 wives and 4 children) will be here for a night on Aug 1st. My kids will all be here too - that's my favorite thing of all times - being with family. Hope you got your workout in, but if not, enjoy yourself as much as you can. Workouts will always be there. Maybe DS will let up a bit with more people around too.

Jen - Hmmmm, Drill Max Ultra Cardio Blast huh? Sounds evil ! Sounds challenging ! May have to switch it for another cardio soon. LOL at your "shopaholic" line.:D Too funny !

Hi Alywn Friends

It seems as though NROL4W has been good to me, but it is time that I move on for a while. There was getting to be too much of a dread factor . I made it through stage 4.

So Wendy you made my choice easy today. I wanted some kind of weight workout that included most body parts, and when you mentioned 4DS I decided to to the upper body premix of 4DS. Thank you.

I have observed that most of my muscles~ back chest core and shoulders did get stronger on NROL4W. I assume the same for my lower body, based on how I felt with Hardcore Extreme last week. My biceps and triceps may be stronger or just the same. Well they might be stronger. I used heavier weight on all exercises and on Biceps and Triceps I went to failure for several of the exercises. Ther NROL4W had nice core work and leg work and back and chest and shoulder work. However it is time for a mental change.

As far as a rotation goes, who knows? But itreads and/or cardio coach will be included. And 3 more wednesday yoga classes.

Lori~ you have gotten good parenting advice already. I have to agree with all that was mentioned. have fun visiting with your sis !

Lora and Jacque~ I am sorry about your having to change you name here. But we know ya !
 
Oh Im soooo confused with this new fourm! LOL My other checkin as 4 checkins for the day! I guess everyone can only see the one they started! I guess i will get the hang of it eventually.

I was sooo ticked earlier. I put the color in my moms hair, thinking I could start my workout. Well, I start doing abs, she then washes her hair and instead of waiting for me to be finished she keeps yelling out to me to hurry up. Now, I don't know what you girls are like but my workout time, is my workout time. I don't even answer the phone so when my mom started yelling out my blood started to boil! haha! Then i had to put the highlights in her hair,proceeded with MM and then she is still bothering me, wanting to know how much longer. Between my mom, DD and DH wanting lunch, im lucky I even got to finish MM! Anyways...i got it done and I just finished a 4 mile run and 4DSKB. I kind of had to fight with myself to do it but I am happy I did it.

Hey everyone!

Got home from work with a lot of pent up energy that needed spending, so I hit the road for a quick four mile run. It felt great! The temps are moderate here tonight, and I made it out and back before a thunderstorm rolled it.

Jacque, ugh, sorry to hear about the layoffs :(. That must be so tough to do. I do hope you get a chance to run off some of that stress later on.

Wendy, BM2 may have to be my next Cathe HIIT!

Judy, glad to hear you saw gains with NROL4W. I think it's a great program, but I do wish there was a little more variety. The dread factor definitely set in for me when I realized I was repeating stages.

Lori, I know exactly how you felt today, and I imagine it was doubly frustrating coming from your mom. I remember when my kids were young and they used to interrupt my workout time...it would be frustrating at first, but that would pass in seconds because they're my kids and they need me, but coming from your mom who should know better?? Oh, that wouldn't fly. Good for you for finishing! I probably would have given up ;)
