Good day ladies !

Now I'm getting kinda skeered that we are going to go away? This is my only checkin.

Well I got home and had the energy to get my 4DS Hi Intensity done with back and chest.

This AM was up early enough to get the 4DS Kickbox in but will do weights after work, thinking of adding a run. I barely made it through Kickbox.

Will check in later to get to personals from the past few days - I did get them read last night. :p

Until later . . .

Jacque, I'm here!! This check-in keeps me motivated, too, and I'd hate to see it fall apart.

Today was the first day of school for us, which is always a tough morning. Three showers to be taken, three outfits to be cooridinated, three lunches to be made...I've had it easy all summer leaving a lot of those things for my mom to do ;) Both kids were nervous about meeting their new teachers. But we managed to get out in time to catch the bus and everyone met their new schedules a-ok!

In order to do that, though, I had to shorten this morning's workout a bit. I had cardio on tap, so I just did 20 minutes of HIIT and plan on taking a walk on my lunch hour.

Wendy, we had dinner last night at this little restaurant called Romaine's that cooks all their food over a wood grill. You can smell that smoky cedar smell as soon as you walk into the restaurant. The menu is excellent and I really enjoyed dinner. Great job on your PR!!

Hey there Jen - glad to see you're here with me. I know everyone's been a bit busier than usual lately.

I have completely been out of the "first day of school" loop for many years, but I do remember. ;)

Good for you getting in a good 20 min of HIIT. Funny how that wears you out as much as a 60 min. step type or even a 5 mile moderate run !

Hope the day ends well for the kids and you !

Later.

Hey Girls.

We aren't falling apart ladies. I won't let that happen! :)

This morning's work out was a good 6 miler with my buddy Grace. ;) The DOMS from y'day's work out are VERY slight but I am thinking tonight or tmrw will be worse! If you hear any whimpers off in the distance later on, that's just me trying to sit on the toilet seat!:D:D:D

Tomorrow I am planning on a 2-3 mile run and CTX chest/biceps/abs.

Gotta hop in the shower so that I can be ready to take DS to visit his teachers/classroom at 2!

BBL!

Wendy - glad to hear - guess I jumped the gun a bit - but is SOOOOOO UNUSUAL for little ol' ME to start this tread, eh?

Good workout - that Leaner Legs is a "biatch" huh? Couldn't believe how I had IOMS, let alone DOMS. My calves were hurtin' all weekend (course I was wearing flaps at the Cookoff so kept up them exercisin' - ha ha ha !).
So, got my ear tuned for the "toilet seat sit downs". :p Will let ya know if you whined loud enough. :p:D:p

Hope DS's day goes well and he likes the teachers & classroom.

Whoa to have little ones again - well, actually, a grandson works well. You all enjoy !

Wendy,

OMG, your little guy is starting school?? How often will he go? Is he looking forward to it? Oh, I remember those days... that feeling of hating to see him go and glad to have a little time to yourself ;) It's so good for them to start early though. I felt my kids were better prepared for kindergarten because of the time they did in preschool. I never went to preschool and kindergarten was quite the traumatic experience for me!

My kids are home for the day and all jitters are gone. They like their teachers and have some old friends in their classes. Tomorrow morning should be much less hectic. Woohoo!

Jacque, I think "grammies" have the best jobs! My mom spoils my kids relentlessly! They are absolutely crazy about her. I'm so grateful she's willing to help me out after school and watch them until I get home because not only does it relieve me of a lot of worry, but it gives them some time to enjoy pure adoration before the drill sargeant mom gets home ;)

Okay, finally, this workday is over. Hopefully I'll get a chance to check in from home later.

Jen
