Good Morning Folks.

Jacque: The original X work outs are all about an hour long. I may do the X+ though or a mish mosh of both. I haven't decided yet. Whatever I do, I will definately be modifying though as the majority if not ALL of my cardio must be my running which I do 4x per week right now....Not positive when the rotation will begin but not beforethe week of the 21st for sure. I am thinking the week of the 28th which will take us right into October. I don't want to start on October 1st cause that's a wednesday and that will bug me. LOL There's always the first FULL week of October as an option as well.....Wow, that wasn't a very helpful answer now was it? :p I checked out the push up challenge. I like the concept though I think they make it more difficult then it has to be. Perhaps we could go with the idea but simplify the way we do it?

Jen: HAPPY BIRTHDAY, girl! So will the Birthday Girl divulge her age??? I do believe you are younger then me so no worries there! LOL Glad you had a fun day with your kids. Did anyone else join you or was it just the 3 of you? How old are your kids, btw? :)

Lori: Catch up on that sleep yet??

So I did One on One Road Warrior y'day and am pleasantly surprised at the DOMS I have secured using only one band and some body weight exercises. :) I think I may try to add this in as a way to hit each body part a 2nd time each week while finishing off my CTX rotation.

Today's work out will be an hour long run...outside or at the gym is yet to be determined. It depends on how early I get my arse motivated and out the door. LOL

Off to grab more java....

Good morning ladies! How is everyone today?

Not sure what workout is on tap this morning. Might do something like Butts & Gutts, which I've never done, or Drillmax, which I've only done a short premix...or maybe I'll go for Bodymax 2 in its entirety. We'll see...stay tuned ;):p;)

Wendy, I'm pretty sure you're younger than me...I turned 37 yesterday  Actually, I have to say I'm unaffected by this birthday. I think turning 30 was the most difficult b-day for me, and none of the others have mattered after that. I'm not even worried about 40, which is only three short years away now. BF joined us on our outing yesterday, and it was just a really great day. Everyone had a good time, and what more can a mom ask for, right? Plus I got some really fantastic gifts, and that doesn't s*ck either :D My kids are 13 (DS) and 10 (DD). (Okay, now that makes me feel old...) Enjoy your run today! How's the weather in NJ though? It's pouring here today. I was toying with the idea of a 5k today, but I'm not doing it in this weather.

Jacque, Lori, what's on tap for you girls today?

Goin' find something to nosh on, but will BBS~

:)Good Morning Gals:)

How is everyone feeling? Yes...I think I finally caught up on my sleep. Oddly enough, DS was awake at 4:30 and when it was DH's turn to get up with him, I reset my alarm for 7. There was no way I could get up to workout after my interuption of sleep. I went to bed at 11:30, a little bit of broken sleep but got to sleep in until 7. I feel good.

So...on that note, today may be a rest day OR I may go for a run tonight. There are a few people here in town that are running the same race I am and the past 2 Sunday mornings I have seen them out for their long run:confused: Makes me feel bad when I am thinking about taking the day off:) But I bet I worked harder then them all week!
Right now I am scheduled to do 1 speed run and 1 hill run a week. Im thinking that any runs I do on the TM from here on in, are going to be a mixture of both. And with each passing week, up my speed on the hills.Think thats a good idea? I want to do good on this race so I need to train good. I can't skip hills and speed and think that I am going to run an amazing race.Im looking forward to it being over though.....geez...I still have over a month to go!

Wendy** Sounds like you had a good workout yesterday! Don't you think that a run outside goes by a lot faster then a run on the TM? I certainly do! Have a good run today!

Jen** Happy Birthday! 37?;):) I just turned 30 in aug and I didn't think it was that bad. My SIL told me something though. She said "when you are in your 20's, everyone seems older. But when you are in your 30's you feel like you are the same age as everyone else" And its true! When I was in my 20's, even 29 and someone was 32...I thought they were alot older then me. But now that I am 30 and someone else could be 39...I feel like we are in the same age. I have a feeling Im not going to enjoy 40 though!:(

I will bbl to checkin again!

Lori:)

Hey Girls. I'm back.

5.81 miles is in the bag. It was a bit humid out there this morning but the temps were still cool so it was tolerable. I ran a much faster pace then my 13 miler on wednesday. The run also felt alot better so I'm happy about that. :)

Jen: Okay yes, you are a bit older then me but not much. I turned 36 at the end of April so we are pretty close in age. :) My vote is for butts and guts. I can't believe you've never done that one! You need to do it. You are gonna LOVE it! *insert evil laugh here* Just be prepared to limp around for 3 days and whimper every time you need to go to the bathroom. ;)

Lori: Your training plan sounds like a good one. How long is your race again...20k? You might also want to include a weekly long run at an easy pace. That's always a good thing to do for the longer mileage races. Glad you got better sleep last night.

Well I'd better go but I'll try to peek back in before we head out for the afternoon. We are heading north to DH's sister's house. She is having family over to celebrate her DH's Birthday. It should be a nice visit. I know DS will enjoy the heck out of it as he just adores DH's family. :)

Toodles!

Well Happy Sunday morning my little young'ins !

I can say that you all could be my children ! 40 was a toughie and this year 50 seems old in some ways but not in others. When I put it in the perspective of being half a century it seems old. When I think of how I feel mentally and physically - I'm still 30 or 40. :p

I was an athlete in school, exercised while in college and then kids and two stories kept my UB and LB in shape for quite a while. Hit the exercising again in my mid 30's but feel much stronger since doing the firm and Cathe these past 10 years.

So that being said - Wendy, I'm in for the 90X (+) challenge and would like to run more also. Oh Lori . . . ready to do the 90X with us instead of DH? Jen, you got 90X or X+?

And what mods did you have in mind for the push up challenge Wendy?

For my AM workout which will begin in a bit, I have my last day of the
4DS/CTX rotation which is the Kickbox and bi's. Still have a sore behind from Leaner Legs on Friday ! That one has gotten me both times for days ! I think the CTX keep you working legs pretty well even for the cardio and once they are sore, they cardio just adds to it !

Want to get a short 3 or 4 miler in but not sure if it will be this weekend. We'll see how my day goes - I was very very lazy yesterday :p.

BBL to check out everyone's workouts . . . java here I come !
