i give up! i have tried to figure this one out by myself, but it's no use! here's the dilema:

when i am doing any workout with glute-raises(where you lie on your back and put your feet on the step and lift your butt off the ground) i do not feel it in my glutes or hamstrings! i feel it in my hip flexors and quads. i have pointed my toes. i have scooted my ass closer to the step and farther away. i have tried it with my feet flat. what is the problem???????????

yes! i thought of saying that right after i hit postx( i DO squeeze. there is NO burn at all in my butt or hams and i am squeezing. i did these in 3 min increments the other night while watching a tv show.

thanks for responding Aila!

The foot that is one the step, the side you are working...are you balancing on your heel? Are you pushing so far up that only your shoulder blades are left on the floor and driving the hips/pelvis straight up to the ceiling?

yep. only my shoulder blades are on the floor, but i mostly do the "both feet" one. maybe i should try just one leg at a time.

thanks

Maybe you should try doing them on the stability ball. You know lay on the ball like in PLB. Maybe that will work better for you.
