<-- Tuxedo is a fly dog though, Shiloh and Jack are getting there
<-- if you watch this www.youtube.com/watch?v=v3swguMlyqY , Tuxedo already does everything but the jumping on my back
<-- has trained with him and the other doggies for the past 8 weeks and thinks we need a coach/trainer now

<--Ooooh, Nancy, thank you for the vicarious thrills! :9
<--am seriously considering the naughty 800 calorie tuna melt for lunch tomorrow
<--feeling the need for some life-support level hermit-izing
<--explains <--have been onthego AllMonthLong with sick family members, needy family members, 3 year re-eval IEP meetings, multiple doctors appointments for the sick and the well, etc. etc.
<--only way to recover from that level of soul-drain is to drop off the Precious Angels with their Dad for his weekend, let the machines answer the phones, and sit...very quietly...with a mentally gentle book...and comfort food..and chocolate
<--please keep fingers crossed for hermit-izing potential
<--sorry for self-absorption
<--am going to go read Nancy's salad description again
<--wanders out saying Mmmmmmmmmmmmm :9

<--thinks Suzanne fits the bill
<--does not fit the bill
<--sends Suzanne happy salad and chocolate thoughts
<--says :9 :9 to Catherine's feta cheese

RE: <---all ya gotta keep is strong , move along, move a...

<-- tells Nance, yeah, Tuxedo does everything that the dog does on the video, except jumping on <--'s back
<-- says, Tuxedo was afraid of his own shadow when <-- got him 08/06
<-- will be leaving <-- talk for this

Tuxedo was not supposed to do ANYTHING due to SEVERE hip dysplasia, according to his x-rays he shouldn't even be able to walk, I kept taking him to the doggie park and Scooter was chasing the ball, within a couple of weeks, Tuxedo was obsessed with the ball and he leaps up 4 to 6 ft in the air, that dog has phenomenal coordination!!! 2 months ago I started him on discs after I had bought instructional videos about disc dog training, initially for one of my other dogs. I never had Tuxedo in mind when I started getting interested in disc dog training. It turned out differently! Sometimes I have to put Tuxedo on a leash at the park to give him a break because if it was up to him, he would go non-stop. I spoke to the breeder about the disc training and she advised against it, I had him evaluated again by my vet and she gave me the green light on Monday.

I think I have taken him as far as I can take him without professional training/coaching. He IS ready to go past what we have done so far. Met the trainer on Wednesday to evaluate all the 5 doggies as to what they should do. Result was, Scooter definitely should continue agility, Tuxedo definitely should be a disc dog, in fact, he said Tuxedo with appropriate training was a champion in the making. Shiloh and Jack evaluated as promising disc dogs or agility dogs (they are only 8 months old though). And then Ms. Pepper, she is a lazy bum, she can be fast, she is smart, she is fearless, she'll run the agility course with me and do anything I ask her to do but she is not excited about anything but food. She has beautiful movements and she is a great show dog BUT that is as uninspiring to me as it gets, running in circles to have someone else say what they think about my dog just bores the heck out of me, I am more into the athletics.

<-- anyway, hopes to be able to post some pix of fly dog Tuxedo, he is just too fast for my slow digital camera
<-- wonders what further updates Nance wants about the puppies
<-- is posting a relatively new pix of Jack and Shiloh for FN
