Alarming: Young girls and steriod use

Shocking, but unfortunately is true. I have a friend that was punched in the face by her younger sister for no reason at all. Her sister was moody, got mad, and beat her up. My friend had to go to the hospital to get stitches and she might need surgery on her scars. Turns out her younger sister was using anabolic steroids to "get cut fast".

I think the government doesn't take steroid use and distribution seriously and that is why they are so readily available.
 
OMG, this is totally appalling. Look at this paragraph from the article:

In teenage girls, the side effects from taking male sex hormones can include severe acne, smaller breasts, deeper voice, irregular periods, excess facial and body hair, depression, paranoia and the fits of anger dubbed "roid rage." Steroids also carry higher risks of heart attack, stroke and some forms of cancer.

I'm sure the girls who take the steroids aren't warned of the side effects, otherwise I would hope they would know it's NOT worth it! Clean diet and daily exercise....simple as that.

It's only a matter of time (if it hasn't happened already) before we hear someone use an insanity plea for killing someone because they were on a "roid rage".

I would not doubt these girls are warned or at least know of the side effects. It's just like kids who take recreational narcotics or binge drink. There have been psycholoigical studies that prove prove the majority of teenagers do not think of life in terms of their mortality. As far as they're concerned, they're invincible.

The son of a friend of mine committed suicide from mental side effects of taking steroids.
 
If you look at some of the female contestants in body building contests, the effects of steroids on women are NOT attractive!
 
I agree, Kathryn! They look so much older than their age and their skin looks funny.

Also, in Asia a lot of girls use Steroids for the Olympics especially for the summer sports. I think and feel girls all over the world use steroids or some kind of a body building supplement that's not safe for you. What can you do? Teenagers are stupid when it comes to these things and think nothing bad will ever happen to them. Only they can change their mind otherwise it's their problem.
