AHHH, there's nothing like...

shoveling snow at 5:30 in the morning in the bitter, bitter cold! Luckily there was a slight breeze with a wind chill of who knows what temp. to keep me awake! Geesshhh!x(

I hear you Susan!! I did it yesterday morning. We got it pretty bad here in Philadelphia too. I hear we are suppose to get more sometime next week. Maybe spring will come early this year. I can only hope!

Aila:)

I can beat that. How about, "There's nothing like spending $100 on a hotel room for a snowstorm that never really materialized and then waking up to find Hard Core is available"??

No, I have an even better one.

Spend three hours inside as a category 4 hurricane beats wind against your house. Try to stay calm as you watch your windows bow in from the wind and wonder how friends and family members are doing. You can't call them because phone lines are down.

Now, after the hurricane is gone you can bask in the sweat of a sun drenched 95 degree humid afternoon and watch as the food in your freezer melt because you've lost your power (and don't know when it's coming back on).

Then try driving through streets filled with uprooted trees and branches.

Then, a week later you hear another one is on it's way. Don't know if it's gonna hit you so you need to do all your preparations all over again.

Gee, I'm glad hurricane season is over:7

I just don't know how you guys keep your toes warm.

It went down to 35 degrees Monday night and I just couldn't get warm. My toes were just freezing :(

I just got it. I bet I was supposed to put on socks and shoes. We don't wear those much around the house in Florida :+

Once it gets over 32 degrees, I hand wash my car to get the salt off. When I got inside the house from shovelling, my boot laces were frozen stiff!

It's true! We are delighted if it "warms" up to 32* It's kind of like being happy when gas goes BELOW $2.00 a gallon!!! Oh boy! (Deb, who has thick sox on right now.)

Hi Everybody!
We're getting another 5" of snow here in CT today and temps w/ windchills are supposed to go down 15-20 below 0 the next couple of days. BRRRRRR! I washed the salt off my car last night (touchless car wash in these temps!) but that's why it snowed today. AnyWHO, once the temps go up over 32 here, I put rubber gloves over my winter gloves and give the car the bucket and sponge treatment, too. Luckily, I'll have a little taste of the tropics next week. Keep warm and safe everyone!
