Anyone try this? It's a vitamin supplement I heard about today. The women was just raving about it. It sounded compelling.

Heather,

I haven't tried it but I did some research on it and it seems it has a high amount of sugar in it to make it more palatable, aside from ingredients that are a little questionable, which are:

4 out of the 5 Agel vitamins (FIT, EXO, MIN, OHM, and UMI) contain a “Proprietary Sweetening Blend” composed of Inulin, Xylitol, Neotame, and Acesulfame-K.

Inulin – This is a type of sugar produced by plants which has been found to trigger serious allergic reactions.

Xylitol – Doesn't seem to bad but don’t let your dog get any of it.

Neotame – This is more of a concern. Sounds like this sugar is even WORSE than aspartame!

Acesulfame-K – Supposedly this one causes cancer in animals… which means it probably increases the risk of cancer in humans.

Hope this helps.

Carola,
Thanks for the feedback on this, I think I'll probably stay clear of it. Navigating through the supplement industry is frustrating! I don't know where you found the ingredients list even! I tried to find it, looking to see if it was vegetarian, and no luck.

I agree it is frustrating! You think you do something good for yourself and ...... noooooo, all kinds of crap in even vitamins.

I usually stay away from vitamins and supplements as much as I can. I try to eat clean and have a daily intake of 6 to 8 servings of fruit and veggies every day, I do take Shaklee's multis every few days and take Pharmax probiotics and fish oil daily as well as a magnesium supplement in the morning, calcium in the evening as well as Dr. Weil's Vitamin C. Works well for me so far.

Every once in a while I think I need to do more, but then I do the research on ingredients and boy, does it usually turn out to be crap in a bottle - at least for my standards.

Good luck!

Carola
