Advanced Cardio W/Os

I am excited about Cathe's forthcoming DVDs; however, I am finding that I could use more new cardio than weight training or circuit training. I do not care for HiLo cardio at all, but love doing advanced step or kickbox. I have even thought of purchasing Power Yoga DVDs.

Could anyone suggest others' workouts to try? I know they won't be as good as Cathe's 'cause she's the best, but I'd love more cardio to mix in with all of my Cathe w/o's.

Thanks!

Hi Bette-
What cardio workouts(of Cathe's)do you currently have?
Since you're not into hi/lo would you still consider doing a cardio workout with a mix of step and hi/lo? Personally, hi/lo is not my favorite either but somehow I don't mind it if it's intermingled with mostly step.

I have all of Cathe's workouts and will preorder her new ones too. While I'll do the HiLo when incorporated into the step w/o's, I always dread them & find myself not even wanting to do those w/o's if there is HiLo incorporated.

Thanks for any other w/o suggestions!

Mindy Mylrea has some good advanced cardio workouts, especially her interval workouts. SHe's kind of chatty, but has a good sense of humor (at least, I find her to be funny).

For kickboxing, you could try the Powerstrikes Millennium workouts (there are three). I also like Janis Saffell for kickboxing, but I don't know that I'd consider her advanced. I usually add weighted gloves and insert a lot of jumping jacks and then it feels more advanced. Her choreography is probably considered advanced, though.

Thanks so much for the suggestions. I should have mentioned that I already have the PowerStrike w/o's. I like them even tho' I like Cathe's more! Imagine that!!! Thanks again!

Bette,
You might also try Kristen Kagen Step This Way (only on VHS) and Step This Way2 (on DVD). Also, Seasun Zeager The Next Step. These are all fun advanced step workouts. I also agree with Mindy's.

I find that I get weary of doing the same cardio over and over. Lately I bought a programmable 5 disc DVD changer so I can create new routines from my existing Cathe DVDs. In your case you can take the step routines from a DVD that has both step and hi/lo and combine it with another DVD with a step routine.

The 46 bucks I paid for the changer on eBay certainly is cheaper than buying a lot more DVDs - though it didn't stop me from preordering the new series either LOL.

Hope this helps...
