Abs Diet Checkin April 12th

Good Morning Ladies,

I figured today was just as good as any other day to start our check in.
Yesterday went well until I got home late last night and had to pick up pizza. I thought about making something else for myself but I decided to eat a piece of pizza and pick all of the processed meat off of it.It was hard yesterday anyway, with not having many groceries around.So I went to the store last night and I should be pretty good now for a while.

Todays meals are:
1-oatmeal and apple
2-Cheese and toast
3-1 Egg& 1 egg white on whole wheat tortilla
4-1 1/2 c berries with almonds
5-Probably gonna be turkey breast and a salad
6-Probably a shake thats in the book.

I am up to do a 30 min run before work and tonight is going to be Upper Body work from the GS workouts. The type of workout depends on the time I have. I am also going heavy with my weights. I did L&G last night and went heavier then Cathe in most of the moves.

Just checkin in to tell you the run went great and I also did some abs after.
And I just finshed my breakfast of oatmeal with cranberries and almonds:9 I changed it!:eek:

Sounds like you are off to a great start!!

My day is starting with a fruit & protein shake for breakfast, a grilled chicken salad for lunch, apple, chicken with broccoli for dinner and another shake in the evening!

I'll be doing KPC and I teach a Step Class today.

I had a great recipe that I love and I'd like to share it with you!

Lean & Easy Frittata

Saute some fresh sliced mushrooms in some Pam
In a separate pan, Brown 98% lean ground beef
Add Garlic powder and Worstershire sauce
Combine mushroom and browned ground beef
Add some fresh spinach and cook until spinach wilts
Add Egg Beaters
Cook until all is combined and eggs set
I like to add a smidge or parmesan cheese before I eat it

You can divide this up into four meals if you use 1 lb of ground beef or turkey.

It travels well for lunch and reheats nicely and you get a lot of your food groups here.

Thanks for the recipe.I will diffently try it.
My day is going pretty good but boy am I hungry! And bored, which doesn't help much.
I ate my breakfast, snack and lunch so far and I had a small scoop of ice cream which I shouldn't of had! I am hoping to workout again later so hopefully that will take care of the problem.I hope my hungier stays away for a little while.

Hi Lori!

Ice cream (small amounts, of course) are included in the Abs Diet. They actually recommend that you eat ice cream instead of frozen yogurt. So, don't beat yourself up too much, okay??!! Some days we are hungrier than others. Plus you ran this morning. Maybe you're craving more carbs than what you had with the oatmeal..just a thought!!! Remember, you are doing great, okay!!!!:)
 
I have never heard of the abs diet?? IS there a book on it.....here is a sample of what I had today - any suggestions to clean it up - would be great! I always have Luna Bars for snacks and a piece of fruit during the day - lunch is when I screw it up - I think...

Breakfast: Whole wheat toast, peanut butter, sugar free jam
Snack: Luna Bar
Lunch: Lasagna made with turkey
Snack: pineapple
Dinner: Progressives chicken with wild rice
Snack: undetermined, probably popcorn

My diet is always what keeps me from losing that last five or eight pounds! How well does the Ab diet work ??
