? about Whey

I bought whey Feeling like I dont get enough protien in my diet .. My son Told me I was out of my league on this one ..ummm am I ? I thought I would try it when I start my Hardcore ,When it gets here next week !!! Help now I'm afraid to drink it ! :( :(

It is a great idea with the HC coming, especially if you are looking to pack on muscle......
 
I'm not a nutritionist and there's certainly plenty I don't know, but it's my understanding that whey is one of the more easily utilized proteins for your body. I think the caution should be in that you still need to watch your overall calorie consumption. It's also my understanding that when you consume your protein can also make a difference...though this I would recommend researching further. I have heard of people getting a bit "beefy", but I think this is more in the case of taking whey as an addition to their diet as opposed to as a mini-meal.
 
I use whey protein. Only 1/2 scoop post workout and before bed. It is helping me get my one gram per pound of bodyweight. Normally this is hard for me to achieve. Just this amount is working for me. I now get over a hundred grams a day, where it was below this before. Out of your league? I would think maybe you are on the right track paying attention to what you are eating. My only problem is that I am lactose intolerant and sometimes this seems to disagree with me. Soy is not an option. I am not a huge fan of soy products for the most part.

I've been using whey for almost two years now and it has worked very well for me. I try to get about 80 grams of protein a day (although I probably should have more, about 100) and whey is a very convenient way of getting to those 80 grams. I can't possibly eat that much meat, eggs and dairy.

Out of your league? We all started somewhere. Pace yourself, be consistent, never say never. You can do this.:)
