? about muscle endurance

I did muscle endurance yesterday, love the workout but I have a question. I noticed Cathe uses a 16" step,I used 14". How many of you use the 16"? It seems kinda of high or do I need to work up to that?

Use what's confortable for you.

Terina:
I agree with you about ME being a great workout. I own a regular 5"-8" step, and also this thingly adjustable step I bought ages ago from the Firm. The latter step adjusts from a 10" to a 14" step. For Cathe's leg presses on ME, I use the Firm's 10" step, since I find the 14" step too tough on my knees, and too hard on me in general.

My advice is to start with what seems confortable with you -- then work up slowly. This is also true with the poundage.

I use 5 risers with the high step, so 14 inches. But even that is a little wobbly. I guess it helps with balance training! But there is no way I'd use 6 risers-way to wobbly for my comfort zone. You can add intensity by dipping down lower with moving leg instead of adding risers and I think its a safer option too.

I also use five risers and originally thought I might need to use six since I'm tall but five is perfect for me. I agree with Beth on stepping down lower to add intensity. I love that workout too!
