Have any of you with garmins experienced it acting goofy during bad weather days? Mine the other day with the distance was measuring in feet instead of distance and today it was fine. also I have noticed it can affect pace numbers on cloudy or stormy prone days.

Hi Laura, I have the 305 and have not noticed this at all...I also run in a lot of rainy conditions...maybe it is some sort of setting?

Hi Laura,

I currently use a 205 and have absolutely not problems. I did have problems, however, when I used the 201 (the predecessor model). Maybe you need to reset something in the watch... The garmin website has a lot of usefull information. Good luck!!!

Take care,

Ady

Laura,
I have the 201 and occasionally it does give me a wacky readout, most noticeable in the pace calculation. Once it also was off on the distance on a route I've been running for years. I'm pretty sure I remember you having a later model than me, so I don't know if that's it or if it's just an occasional fluke with the satellite. I remember hearing that some of them can be thrown off in areas with heavy tree cover. I agree that you'll probably be able to find some troubleshooting info on the Garmin site.

thanks everyone. Today and yesterday it was working fine. I have the 301 and have only had this happen on really crappy cloudy days.not too often though. My pace does read different in a area with alot of tree coverage. Otherwise it has worked great and I love it.I will check with my manual though.
