About Aug '05 Rotation

Hi everybody. For all of you super athletes that are trying this killer rotation, I have a couple of questions...

1. Week 3 Monday has toe touches and squat thrusts. I don't remember how to do those exercises. I have BC and I haven't done it in awhile. Can I see those exercises in BC? I just need to know how to do those.

2. Boot Camp twice implies doing the warm up and stretch portions twice too? or just doing the warm up once repeat the circuit portion and do the final stretch?

3. In a lot of exercises like e.g. low pulsing hover squats and walking lunges there is no mention of using weights, we're not supposed to add weights are we? I'm thinking I'll have an out of body experience if I do.

4. I need to increase my calories and protein intake to survive this rotation, but I'm not sure how to do it. Any advice?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Rose,

Yes do increase your calories and protein for this rotation, start with 100 extra calories, in those extra 100, try 40% protein and see how it works for you, you may need to add more calories you'll know as you'll be hungry, try to add fiber and protein, with a touch of good fat, as well as carbs, as your brain is going to be working hard to get all thoes muscles going in the right direction and the only thing it uses is carbs.

As for BootCamp twice depends on how you do it, if you do it right in a row, the first warm up should be good for you, but for the stretching I'd add on a few more minutes or use a stretchMax after the standard BC stretch, as your muscles will be pretty tight.

As for adding weights to the exercise I think that would be up to you, if you can then go for it. If you can't or don't want to, then don't. Everyone is at a different fitness level so you got to make it work for your level.

As for the squat thrusts, I believe that they are in BC, if I remeber correctly.

HTH,

Kit

Thank you Kit. Now I need to know how to do the toe touches. I'm thinking those are the ones when you're in the floor and you touch the step with the toes of one foot and then jump and do it with the other and keep doing that until all the repetitions are completed, but one of my friends told me it was an exercise they did when he was in the army and it was not what I thought. Now I'm not sure.

I'm not planning to do this rotation for awhile. I'm training for it though, but since some people are doing it this month I just wanted to know the answers to these questions in advance.

I may be wrong, but I was thinking that for the toe touches, she meant to bend at the waist and touch your toes, then back up, repeat, etc. ???

She usually refers to what you were describing as "toe taps". Again, I could be totally wrong!

That's what my friend said it was. So I'm between those and the toe taps (and yes I think Cathe calls those toe taps.)

Rose, the toe touches are in the BC warm up. The thrusts are the Terminator climbers also BC but later on in the cycles (can't recall which cycle). Why don't you review them when you get a little time?

Have fun!
