Hi Cathe, Hope you got a little rest on your working vacation. Great summer we're having on the east cost, don't you agree?
My question: I had emergency surgery about 11 weeks ago to remove a ruptured spleen. (By the way my surgeon said that the fact that I was so physically fit allowed them to cut and remove the spleen very quickly because they didn't have to cut through alot of fat. I also recovered quicker than most and was back doing very low impact exercises and lifting moderate weights 3 1/2 weeks after surgery).I'm fifty in October so I'm proud of that and grateful for you who keeps me motivated and fit. Anyway, enough gloating and gushing. I am now doing my regular routine - kickboxing, step and weight work. But, when it comes to abs, the incision is still tender and pulls somewhat, so doing your floor abs is kind of uncomfortable. I do parts of Ab Hits, Pure Strength and CTX (planks are ok). I have not attempted your stability ball ab work as I went in for surgery just before I could order the Intensity Series. In your professional opinion, do you think the ball ab work would put less stress on the incision than floor work. My incision goes from middle of breast to an inch below belly button. My surgeon suggested I ask MY TRAINER about alternative ab work as she knows little about exercise. You are my TRAINER, so I'm asking you!
Thanks for your help and for all you do for us.
