RE: Aaah! My dog went thru
My neighbors have an invisible fence and the dog frequently runs through it if the inticement is strong enough. It's kind of funny because he'll run through it to chase another dog, but then won't come back through it. They have upped the intensity and the dog still leaves the boundaries.
As the neighbor of someone with an IF, I don't appreciate that they included the front yard within the boundary. Actually, several people in the neighborhood allow their dogs in the front yard and what invariably happens is the dogs go crazy when people walk past. It was really hard when we would be trying to walk our own dog. The neighbors dog goes so crazy that the mailman will not bring packages to my door if their dog is out. Now that upsets me!
Please don't misunderstand, you gotta do what you gotta do, but please, restrict your pets to the back yard. They are musch less likely to be inticed out of your yard if they don't see the activity in the front of your home.
