Hey guys!

Awhile back (late feb I believe)... a bunch of us were embarking on a clean eating plan.

Just curious... are you guys still doing it? I know there was some discussion that for many folks it wasnt for them - to black and white -

For me its been great - Guess I'm a hot or cold type person - it is easier to cut out entirely than do partially - (gosh it sounds kind of like the folks who can't drink at all rather than in moderation) ok probably a BAD analogy -

Anyhow unless I'm imagining it.. my results are really good :)
Weighed myself yesterday at the gym and I was 3 lbs over where I was at my best 8 years ago ! (I wanted to wait until I had gained a fair amount of muscle - so it was the same as 8 years ago)....

The best part is I swear my cellulite has decreased QUITE a bit... YIPEE... that was alway my worse....

Still goal of being REALLY firm -- (adding at least a small 6 pack) - feeling really good in shorts :)

PLEASE let me know how it's going for you guys

Cold turkey, all or nothing, whatever you want to call it . . . works. People don't want to hear that because for whatever reason, they can't totally give the junk up, even for awhile. That's fine. I don't fault them for that, but if you want superior results, you have to make a superior effort. You're doing great. It feels better too, doesn't it, to be free of the mental fog those foods can cause.

Hey guys. I'm still here!!! Day 37 for me. Like I posted on another forum, I feel like an elephant is off my shoulders!! I don't have to fight with my appetite all the time now. No Easter candy and no wishing I *could* eat some. It was a non-issue.

Yes, it's definitely working for me. I lost 7 pounds in a month and then I hid the scale. I'm just not gonna weigh myself right now. Maybe when I reach my goal size, but I'm just not interested in the numbers right now. I feel so good and have more energy. No more afternoon slumps!!!!!!

I could go on and on, but I won't bore you to death. Just wanted to say "thanks" to you guys for showing me that this can be done and done happily.

Have a great day. Robin.

Hey Robin ...

CONGRATS! Day 37.

Funny I was trying to see when I started but I couldnt find when. I remember you are I were talking the 2 robi(y)ns so maybe it's that much with me.

I TOTALLY Know what you mean about easter candy.. usually I have such a hard time with jelly beans.. I'm like you.. it's easier to have it a "non-issue"

Awesome on the 7 lbs....

I did weigh myself and have like 3 to go.. so not a huge deal... but a gaoal.. though I'm with you the weight goal is kind of secondary it's the increased energy - the removal of stress in the "should I or shouldn't I eat" decision...

Robin - Congratulations! You go girl! Can I ask you a question? I meet my friend for dinner every Thurday and go out with the girls from work for lunch every Friday. How do manage to eat clean at a restaurant? Did you go out to eat at all in those 37 days? Thanks!

Hi Jilly,

The only tricky thing for me in restaurants is the bread/pasta/rice thing. If they have ww bread/pasta and brown rice then it's OK, but they don't usually. Some Italian places do have it tho, so you can call ahead and see. Otherwise, I skip the bread, croutons, etc. Ask for meat grilled instead of breaded like for chicken parmesean or something. For Mexican, get fajita's with all the fixins and don't eat the tortilla (unless you can get ww, but I've never come across it). Skip the chips also. On that note, I'd skip Mexican altogether (till you conquer the cravings) if you cannot resist the chips. I used to eat the whole darn basket. Now, I'm OK with it. Chili's has ww hamburger buns now so I'm sure other similar places do too. Fries are not *really* tricky. I just don't eat 'em cuz they start me on a fry binge which may or may not have something to do with the sugar thing. I eat steak and baked potatoes at steakhouses. Big salads with meat, cheese and dressing without too much sugar. Like I'd skip the honey mustard and such, but I don't sweat it if my dressing has a little sugar. Usually I just get oil and vinegar and I know I'm safe. Shrimp cocktail for an appetizer and fresh fruit with whipped cream if I have to have a dessert, which I really never do anymore.

I love going out to eat. Just gotta make good choices. HTH. Robin.
