A Question about lunges

I know that lunges are a great exercise for the lower body but a few years a damaged my knee (let's just say my body went one way and my kneecap chose to go another) And sometimes when doing a forward lunge I get a sharp pain in that knee which of course panics me...I think that my form is okay no pain or discomfort in the other knee....I use MIS tape which I love...My question is, Is there a way to modify the lunges to take some pressure off that knee? Sorry about the long intro to the question..

Any advice would be helpful?
Thanks:D

Hi Omearaee! Many times it is the force of your weight pulling forward that causes that sharp pain in sensitive knees. Try substituting static lunges or back lunges in its place. Good Luck!
