A No-Equipment Video for Traveling

I can't even believe I'm posting this when I haven't even finished learning the BB series... gee, I feel so greedy!! :)

I was just thinking this morning that when we've packed the car with holiday gifts, clothes for two weeks, Santa stuff and two kids and a dog, I am probably not going to be able to take any of my equipment to NC for next week except maybe one pair of dumbbells. Even that may be pushing the space available.

So that got me to wishfully thinking that I would love a "Cathe in a Suitcase" tape that had a good 45 minutes (or maybe two 30-minute routines just to mix it up a bit) of no-equipment cardio (kickbox and hi/lo and -- really wishful here -- hi intensity/lo-to-medium impact) and then a nice 45+ minutes of "maintenance" strength training using your own body weight only, plus abs. I would think you could hit most major muscle groups without any equipment. A few exceptions, perhaps -- not sure how you'd focus on biceps. I guess the kickbox might keep the biceps busy enough.

Anyhow -- Wouldn't that be the ultimate vacation DVD? :)

Cathe once posted that doing punches is a great non-weighted workout for the biceps. I like this idea. It could be like a Boot Camp type workout, but without the highstep or med ball. And maybe it could be more of a steady state cardio or cardio/lower body circuit and then have the upperbody/core worked later for even more variety.

Great idea Kathy. Actually, it is very possible to do a resistance workout without equipment. I do an alternative workout called T-Tapp, which is similar to Pilates, but more focused and precise in order to create resistance.

I would love for Cathe to create a workout like this; it would be great for cross-training.
