I had posted about 10 days ago asking for support and encouragement in the face of a series of unpleasant
and sad events that had really rocked my world. I just wanted to thank those people who responded so
kindly to my post and offered their support and encouragement. It meant so much to me and helped me start
to get my life back on track. I thought I'd share what you helped me accomplish.
I started cooking meals for myself again. Granted, I made quiche and this whole wheat pasta dish that is
smothered in 3 different types of cheeses which is not the healthiest or most mindful of my waist. But hey, one
thing at a time. I also managed to work out 3 times last week and even upped my weights on some of the
exercises. It felt wonderful and I realized how much I missed the feeling of satisfaction after a hard workout.
Over the Memorial Day weekend I went out with friends, went to the movies, out to dinner, up to Sonoma to
do some wine tasting, laughed, smiled, and enjoyed myself. And today I got good news at work. A proposal
that I had written got funded and this funding has saved my job!!! I'm no longer laid off!!!!!
I know that I still have some things I need to sort out and am working with my therapist to help with this process.
I didn't think that I could start to invest in my life again without help and several people here reached out to give
me just the boost I needed. THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART!!! You have helped give me wings!
