A FOOT of snow is on the way, UGH!!!

OK - I live in southeastern Minnesota and the forecast for tonight tomorrow and part of Saturday is very wet, heavy snow and AT LEAST A FOOT by the time it's over. UGH! I'm so ready for spring and that will just set me into total depression. I'm a softball coach for our high school and it will be very hard to keep their motivation up there if we have more white stuff on the ground. But, the good thing is that it is supposed to be in the 40's next week so at least it won't last too long. :)

It's pretty deceiving right now, though, it's in the upper 30's and sunny - maybe we'll be lucky and it'll miss us! :7 :7 (I'm keeping my fingers crossed).

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you, too. Crappy weather is the worst when all you can think about is Spring!

I am in NC and enjoying an unexpected snow day, home with the kiddos. We got about 2 inches, big whoop I know, but it sure is pretty.

Thankfully, by the weekend, it will be close to 60 and sunny again.

LOL to you! Hope Spring will find you ASAP!

You got a snow day for 2 inches? Wow! We haven't had a snow day yet this year and we've had TONS!!!! I wanna live in NC:)

I am patiently waiting for all our snow to melt away. It's supposed to rain or snow on the weekend. I'm hoping for rain to wash away the rest of the white.

I want tulips and crocuses (crocii?) and daffodils and snowdrops!

I'll trade you guys snow, for the hot Texas summer, stickers (little prickly burr type of things), fire ants, snakes, and huge bugs.

Oh, and speaking of snow days. These kids get rain/flood days (sometimes).

I feel for ya!! I'm in Nebraska and this winter was pretty tame, but last year wasn't. Not the volume of snow that MN gets, but not pleasant anyway!

Shirley, you can just keep your big bugs and fire ants and all the rest of those things. But thanks for offering so generously.:)

Oh, and by the way? DON'T EAT THE COOKIE DOUGH!

I say enjoy it!

Put on a big pot of coffee, light some candles and hang out at the windows.

My husband and I did that one year. We layed in each other arms, drank coffee, and lit candles. All in front of the window watching the snow fall. The flakes were so big. We also grabbed an electric blanket to stay extra warm. It was so romantic and beautiful.

I'll trade snow for the hot, humid, and sticky weather of the Caribbean at this time of the year. Oh well...:)

Hi Marcia,

I feel your pain. I am in NW MN and it looks like the storm is just going to the south of us. I was in no mood for anymore snow. I am anxious to be outside going for walks.

But like someone else mentioned - enjoy it and light some candles, grab a glass of wine or beverage of choice and snuggle with your family.

Take Care,
Winter

won't it be ugly if the children have to walk through slush on Easter in their pretty dresses and new shoes. This weather is certainly chainging as we grow.

I never had to wear a heavy coat for Easter.

Thanks Shelley! I have to confess that I did eat some...and it really didn't taste that great. :-(

OH, and I guess I'll have to keep my heat and bugs...<sigh>.
