I'm with you, Lori. I expected our country to pull together, put our political differences aside, and focus all our attention on helping those who were so tragically effected by the hurricane and it's aftermath--sort of like we did for 9/11.
I was completely taken off guard and discouraged when the blame game started immediately.
But I am glad that people are helping so generously and I hope it continues.
I don't want to imply that I don't think things could of been done differently. I know there were breeches in other parts of the levee system. It was just interesting to hear that no matter how hight this particular levee was, it wouldn't of saved this particular parish. This was a very powerful storm, as we all are aware.
