8 week scan

Cheshire Cat

Cathlete
I had my first scan on Friday (7 weeks 6 days precisely) and it was wonderful to see my little baby's heart beating on the screen! It looked like a little jelly bean with a heartbeat. I could hardly contain myself in the scan room, it was such a precious moment.

We were given a photo of the little one too - not that you can really make out what is what!

The hospital have now reassured me after all my fears of miscarrying again and I feel very confident about this one. The doctors also told me I should go back to exercising but to take it very gently so I think tonight I'll kick off with a modified version of ME using virtually no weight. I'll stay off the cardio for a little while further but I'm looking forward to getting back into the swing of everything albeit at a much lower intensity.

The scan was just what I needed to allay all my worries. :) Life feels FANTASTIC :)

That's great news! It's great to see the heart beating, isn't it? Congratulations!

I'm so happy for you. You're heart will continue to grow for this little one as your pregnancy continues. I can already feel your love for this baby...just imagine what it's going to be like at month 9!! Congrats again & thanks for sharing.

Hi there...I am right there with ya. This is such an exciting time for you both!

I just had my 8 week scan and had the same feelings. My husband was there and the moment was just wonderful. What was your baby's HR? Ours was at 146BPM at 7w5d. I am currently 9w2d and due Oct 8...pretty close to your due date :)

hi Cindy!

I have no idea what the HR was but it looked like it'd just finished a Cathe workout i was beating so fast :)

My due date is 12th October which seems like an age away!
