60 Day No Fast Food/Sugar-ose Challenge

Hi all! Well did everyone make it past Friday the 13th? This is day 5 for me.

I managed to keep my hand out of the candy jar, figuratively speaking. Although, DH called on his way home and asked if we want to go to DQ. I said no, not wanting to sabbatage myself. Once again, I think I hurdled a milestone, because I love their ice cream sundaes, yet they don't like me:)

Have a great day everyone, and keep up the good work:)

Hi all,

I am joining in. Yesterday was DAy 1 for me. I had a good day, even with leftover chocolate in the house. I didn't even think about it.. for me that is a miracle. I started using Fitday again and it really helps. Did the ITrain-IClimb circuit workout on my eliptical and burned 360 calories in 40 minutes! I see another no sweets thread but it goes by the week. Not the same group? I like a day by day one as it is easier to follow and read the threads,

Have a great day all and Keep saying NO SUGAR!

Deb

Hi Deb. Really glad you are joining us.

That is a huge accomplishment, I mean with the leftover chocolate;)

I am such a chocolate-holic. I found that some sugar-free hot cocoa helps tame the chocolate cravings. But only at night time because if I have some earlier it only teases me into wanting the real thing for the rest of the dayx( I think I will try the itrain-iclimb workouts. I've heard about them but have yet to try them.

Having a rather hard time right now. Some neighbor kids came to the house selling chocolate carmel cream candy bars. I said no right away. A few minutes later my dd went ahead and bought for herself with her money, and then her grandma bought 4 more. Then my dh came home with a Hershey chocolate bar. I mean what is this, candy bar day?

I did very well and told everyone I did not want to see any of it, and if I do see it, I'll throw it away. That was probably a little harsh, but it would be nice to have a little support around here. Afterall, they know what I'm trying to accomplish. Besides, they all could use a little help in that area as well, my dd and her acne, the junk food makes it worse, and my dh, well he has a few pounds to lose as well.

Ohkedoke....I "THINK" I am gonna start this thread as of tomorrow! 60 days is a long time though:)
Just to introduce myself, I had a baby 14 weeks ago and although I am down to the final 3 pounds:) I think I need to start staying away from the sugar and start lifting heavier weights to tone up. My goal weight is 8 lbs less then what I am right now though. I have been following WW's and really enjoy it but I think I am getting to the point where I can follow this on my own....plus, I am breastfeeding so I kinda need to make sure I am eating enough but I don't think it needs to be sugar.
HOping to check in tomorrow!

Lori:)

Lori,

Congratulations on your new baby!!! I really hope you can check-in with us. That would be so nice. Of course, I completely understand if time is limited on your end.

I have to admit and am starting to see a "pattern" on my part, I caved in again with the cereal. Although it was only about a cup (Kashi) with fat free milk, it was enough to make me realize that this is a pattern with me in the evening.

Does anyone else have this problem? Even though it says Kashi, there are still some sweeteners in there, I'm sure of it.
