Good THURSDAY morning everybody! The week is winding down already. I can't believe how FAST this summer is going again. What do we need to do to slow down TIME?????

I'm up early even though I don't really need to be. I have my long run of 9 miles this morning, which I'm going to do after I drop the kids at the Rec Program. DOMS have subsided some in my legs, so I'll keep my plans on for today's run....I'm just going to take it very slowly in the beginning to get a good warm up. Then we don't have anything on the calendar. I need to make a trip out to pick up some things I need for the Road Trip, so maybe the kids and I will do that later sometime.

The boys and I ended up going for a LONG walk after dinner last night. We walked to my parents place (Older DS and I walked and younger DS rode his bike) and it took us about 35 minutes. They weren't home (which I knew because I called before we left, but I wanted to go for a long walk with the kids so I didn't tell them, lol). So we turned around after using their bathroom and grabbing a drink from their fridge, lol. I treated the boys to Rita's Italian Ice on the way back. All told, it was about a 70 minute walk and it really helped to loosen my legs up....plus it was a great chance to just walk and talk with them.

OK....gonna get a few things done here before the kids wake up. BBL, after my run.

You have such a close knit family Gayle. I think it is so great.

Well this morning it was disc 2 back an tris. That was tougher than I thought it was going to be. But I am adding weight to all of these wo so that is probably the difference.

I just stopped in to keep up so I am off to rinse my shake glass and get on with it. Hopefully the power is up and running at the job. I hate to drive an hr and 20 mins fo nothin'!

I decide to go with all 4 of the 4DS workouts as I home for 4 days (wed to Sat) Last night I did HIS and today I think I will do LIS. Not much on the schedule today. DH comes home this evening and we'll go to the airport to pick him up, dd is really missing him!

Okay so you have convinced me not to sell my workout dvds, except for p90x, that will be coming your way soon Rach.* I promise!I just did disc 30 for the first time.* I am going to be shortening up meso3.* I will still repeat each week.* But my gf wants to start working out and I told her I would do sts with her.* I am not sure if she will end up doing it or not because she was supposed to start with me the first go around.* I will see how it goes.I really want to check out insanity.* I think I may ask my library to purchase it.* Anyway, I am off to shower and do a little more decluttering and then take ds to doctor for a weigh in.* My goal was to have him gain 2 opunds this month.bbl

I did the drill max scrambled carido premix today, done now and getting ready for the shower.

Galye your walk last night sounds great! I need to take my kids too, but after dinner is too late (early bed time) and during the day it's just too hot right now.

Kim, glad to have you back, even if it's just for a little while! Your 4DS plan sounds like a great plan, you hit the ground running, workout wise!

Julie, I'm so glad you changed your mind about the workout dvds! I hope your friend will commit for real this time. It is fun to do a workout with someone else. It helps keep each one motivaated and accountable.

Rachel, hope you don't drive for nothing today! Good job on doing sts with heavier weights! I decided that when I'm doing it again, since I tweaked some weights as I went, I won't up them and just do them as are. It's coming up soon, just another week and it will be august and thus my June rotation beginning! Wow!

Did you guys see that shock Cardio rehearsals have started? I'm excited! But I still won't expect them to be out in September.... just so I won't be disappointed!

Jo, enjoy your time with your friend! Any results on your migraine tests yet?

Hi guys. Just a quick post with my run update......here are the notes I entered into my running GPS software (Garmin):
This was this week's long run.....today was supposed to be 9 miles (finished at 8.7; I'll take it)
This run was horrible and I didn't feel well at all. The first mile or so wasn't bad. At mile 2, the bathroom urges started but I knew I was stuck without a bathroom so I just kept on going. At about mile 3, where the trail gets more wooded, I kept imagining bears or hunters jumping out at me and I was jumpy at every sound and every bug! Then my PF started hurting (right foot) and at the half way mark (4.3 miles) I walked just a bit, and it was all down hill from there. It was so much harder to start up after walking....my PF hurt worse at the restarts. I ended up walking a few times. My legs felt like lead, although the DOMS from this week's earlier leg workout wasn't as much of a factor as I thought it would be....at least I didn't feel the DOMS! lol I had to drive immediately home because I had to use the bathroom so badly. UGH!!!!! Can't get any worse, right???


I'm kind of grumpy now and very sore. I think I should have allowed another day's rest for my legs to recoop from Disc 17 earlier this week. Too late now, right???

Gotta scoot to clean up and get the kids.

Galye, I'm so sorry about your bad running experience! What a bummer! Is there anything you can do to keep training despite your PF acting up? I was thinking, maybe you could do your runs on the treadmill to at least not have to worry about your safety? I know it is not the same as running outside though! If you have time, do some good long stretching and a warm bath tonight followed by some advil before bed (to help any inflammation) and maybe some extra calcium and magnesium to help the muscles relax. (You probably know all this already, sorry if it's old news)

I got the replacement parts for our carpet shampoo machine and proceeded to shampoo the entire house in one day! I'm so glad it's done! Not sure if it's because I was tired or not, but I ended up eating way too much for dinner tonight:(. It was all clean, so technically the challenge is still good, but my stomach hurts and I feel quite big...:mad:

It's a bummer, but I'm going to make sure it stays in today and won't repeat tomorrow!

Muscle endurance for me tomorrow. I should be sore after that one, I always am when I do it.
