My princess turns 9 today!:D:D She is happily playing with her birthday gift. A doll from Maplelea. Like American girl but it's a Canadian dolls. We had given her the Manitoba doll for Christmas and she plays with it constantly so this morning she received the Quebec doll. She was so excited!! DS is at hockey camp and DH is at work so her and I are having a girly day! We're just relaxing now as my MIL is coming by in a bit to bring some birthday gifts :) and see the birthday girl. Then we'll see what we feel like doing movie, manicure, shopping and then we will meet the boys at Boston Pizza for supper. So should be a fun day! I finished week 3 (out of 12) on CLX so it's my rest day as well!

Last night a coworker had a few of us over for drinks and munchies. We went over after work and stayed till 10 pm. We sat in her screened porch even though it was pouring rain and had a blast! It was a great way to end my horrible work week! The 4 of us that work on hand injuries get along quite well. It's 2 of these ladies that I often run with. But we work in a big gym rehab setting. There is definitely lots of issues with other therapists, secretaries, etc. So is was great way to unwind, and vent, it's been a very stressful summer.

Jo I'm so glad to hear that you got your migraine medicine costs covered. I see there is lots of debate about health care happening in the USA, it's all very interesting to listen too. Not running for anything at this point, we just like to run together once a week for exercise/fun. I've noticed a bit of plantar fascitis, the last 2 weeks which I've never had before:confused: so I'm taking this week off. Don't worry about schedules and stuff right now, just enjoy your summer! Hopefully we'll have STS cardio soon and we can all start that rotation together.

Cendrine. What a nice coffee date you had yesterday! It's so nice to have that time together. As my kids get older (9 and 12), I find that dd and I tend to do things together and DH and ds do things together so I have to make time to spend with ds. What a relief about DH's job, but I'm sure his workplace is very stressful right now! Glad that your playdate went well, going to the playground to get some energy out was probably a good idea! We just had friends come back from Disneyland and they had a blast. I have them convinced that they need to hit Disneyworld soon:D It's 100 days till our trip to Disney!

Rachael I'm glad to hear you're feeling better. Make sure you still take it easy this week! I'm sure Cathe will put on a rotation for STS and Shock Cardio, I'm looking forward to it!. Don't stress over the gas, we all have days like that. Eventually it will be something that you will look back on and laugh.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KIM'S DD!:D:D:D:p:p:p:D:D:D

OMG I am having a day off. Of course it was not a pleasant start since I had Gyno this morning but I like to get it over with and always have it on a Friday. So I put it first thing in the morning and always on a Friday so it gives me a good chance for a 3 day weekend;). It just so happens that it is going to work out that way this time...WOOOHOOO! I don't feel too bad since dh is at least getting a 2 day weekend. We both need the break. So I came straight home from the docs and cleaned the house so now all I have to do is anything I want:p!

This morning Was bootcamp and since it was so short I felt like I could give it a really good try. So I gave it my all and I felt pretty good afterward. So I think I can take myself off light duty and get back to it. Work is starting to slow down now esp. the stressful part. We have finally got almost all of our part done so we can coast a little. The general contractor is still in a lot of trouble due to poor scheduling. There is so much work left to be done and people are starting to get tired. Since we do not work by the hr we normally work long hrs anyway to get things done but the people who are used to getting off at a decent hour are starting to show wear and tear.

Cendrine-The "coffee date" with dd sounds sweet. I can remember how fun it was to be treated and act like a grown up! Next week is our last week of this rotation so what are you thinking of doing next? I have been going through some of Cathe's rotations but have not settle on one yet.

Kim-A night with the girls sounds like fun. Sometimes when you have so much pent of animosity, it feels so relieving to share it with someone. You just feel so much better. I hate that feeling when there is tension at the work place. It really weighs you down. How are you liking CLX? Have you noticed any changes?

Jo-Where are you going next? Hopefully where ever it is, it's not raining. You and dh must have a good amount of vacation time! I would not worry too much about your workouts. Since you eat so clean and you try to fit fitness into your vacations, I am sure it will not even barely effect you. Plus a break always does you good. Just think how your body will react to everyday exercise when you start back!

Well I am off to see what I can get into for the weekend. Its hair day tomorrow! Hope you all are having a great Friday!

Hi Guys,

I did disk 26 and boy was I working this time! It felt a lot harder than usual! I wonder why....

Kim, I'm sure your daughter is going to love her day! It sounds so fun! It's nice that you got to have some fun time with the girls. How long are you going to disneyworld for ? You are not counting, right?:p

Jo, you seem to have a pretty busy summer with alternating work and travel shaking up your workout schedule... I'm not worried about you though, you 'll get right back to it when things calm down, so just enjoy!

Rachel, did you talk to your dr about your symptoms? What did he/she think about it? How fun that you get an extra day off this week! Just what you needed! Enjoy it and don't do anyhting!

Ds announced today that he wanted to start school today... So I decided to humour him, since I had just got a fieldtrip invite for next Tuesday that would have upset our schedule. So now I have a full day of homeschool under my belt (we just have to finish science in the afternoon) I am tired but feel good about how it went, and it is good for ds to have two days off before getting hit hard again and then Tuesday we can take off and go on the fieldtrip and the park after, so he will have a four day week. Sounds actually pretty good to me. DD did really well too!
Now they are both resting and I have to get some chores done... No one said it was going to be a walk in the park LOL! I enjoy it though.

Congratulations Cendrine on the first day of home school! ! day down..? to go:D

Being able to schedule relative road trips must be fun too. You must be a super organized person. It seems like it would take a lot of planning to do home schooling properly. At least to get the full advantages of homeschooling...like the fun road trips!

I did talk to the doc. She felt as I did, that because the symptoms went away when I cut back on the exercise a bit that it was most likely related. She wanted me to keep and eye on specific things and if this happened again we would go through the full work up. Since I am self pay I did not want to go through the expense if it was not necessary. She is a great and thorough dr. and I feel that after our conversation if there was a cause to be alarmed she would not let me leave with out the works!

OK I am off to search recipes. Something I have not had time to do lately!.

Hi Girls!

Oh Kim, Happy Bday to your DD! Hope you are having a really fun day! Oohh.. on the plantar fascitis! You don't need that problem!! Good to take a break. Sounds like you had some good girl time! We all like that huh? My GF that was up here last month just called to see if I could come down to CA in October for her birthday with a couple of other girls. That would be fun but I think it coincides with a week I have to travel for work. So we'll see.

Rachel, I always do my gyno appts early on Friday's too! Isn't that funny! I just had mine last month. I guess I need to go back through the posts since I don't know what is going on with you and 'light duty!' Are you okay? Did you hurt yourself?

Cendrine, wow...August 21 and school time already! Where has the summer gone? Good job on Disc 26. I did LIC today and it felt harder than usual for me too! I always think since we've done these workouts they are going to be easier but then glad Cathe works my butt off!

Oh, and I'm going back to MT again! Hopefully the weather will cooperate and we can get some kayaking in! If not, I can shop...:D

Talk to you all soon! Did we lose everyone else? Mary never did come back did she? Where's Chrissy and Gayle and Julie? I'll try and get through old posts this weekend...I just haven't had a chance (shame on me!)

Hi Again,

I'm glad the day is over... I tried to fit everything into my day that I had planned to do today before ds announced he wanted to do school... so it was a super busy day, but I got it all done, doms from disk 26 are setting in right in time for me to hit the sack.... I got ME on the menu for tomorrow but am not sure if I should do it since I just did disk 26 today. I wonder if I messed up my workout order, maybe I should do bootcamp instead. Hm...

Rachel, I'm glad the dr didn't think anything was wrong and I hope that as you get to recover you will get your old energy back and feel fine in every way.
I forgot to answer your question of what rotation to do next month... I think I initially clicked one into my calendar but am not sure what it is. I may change it, I will have to look over the month and see what it is and if I feel like doing it... I really feel like buying some new workouts from Cathe... Let me know what you are thinking of doing and I'll check it out.
You are right, in order to get everything out of homeschooling that you want, you do have to be fairly disciplined and organized. I didn't use to be organized, until the kids came along, that did wonders to me establishing routines and organizigng things because otherwise they never get done, not with someone who is naturally a couchpotato, like me, I need schedules and lists to keep me honest and on track...LOL!

Jo, when are you going back to montana? How fun! the weather better play nice this time! It's nice, you helping the economy and all, but nature time would be so nice!
It would be fun, too if you got to fit in the trip to celebrate your friends birthday, but it all depends on your work, where are you having to travel to?

As far as our chec-in crew goes, Gayle, Chrissy and Julie all popped in a little while ago, they are all busy with either back to school stuff, vacation and house clearing, but I hope we will have a more active thread again come September. It sure was a busy summer for all here!
