I can't believe that I'm done one week of my 2 week holiday:confused::confused: It's going too fast! Today will be a busy day first is 4DS BootCamp then dr's appts for the kids (dd's annual exam and ds's breathing test for his asthma), then the dentist for all 3 of us for checks/cleaning. Then off to buy groceries for camping. DH and ds are going to the football game this evening but dd and I are home so will start packing up the camper. We plan to leave after lunch tomorrow!

Cendrine I was so excited to read about the Shock Cardio rehearsals!!! I'm hoping that we will have them by early October. Good for you for getting that carpet done!!!

Gayle Sorry you're run didn't go well. Some days are better than others. Is there somewhere that you can run that is safer and maybe has a bathroom?? Like a park? It's probably not as scenic as your current trail.

Jo Hope you're having a great time with your friend!

Julie That would be great if your friend decided to do STS with you! I'm glad that you're keeping your workout videos, I'm sure with all the stress in your life that exercise is a great way to work through the stress. Hope the dr's appt went well.

Rachael Any power yet? Hope your drive wasn't a waste of time!

Chrissy So you got Insanity already! How do you like it! The reviews sound good I think I'll get it but maybe not yet as I have CLX and Shock Cardio coming soon.

Hi, Kim! I KNOW...........slow down that clock somehow! It's tough, when time flies this quickly. Enjoy what you've got rest of your holidays.

Very late post for me. I had a longer workout than normal, then had to RUSH the kids to REC, then I ran 2 quick errands...and here I am.

Today's workout: I did a Body-For-Life upper body workout, then Core Max 1, then the Extended Stretch from STS. I SOOOOOOOOOOO needed that stretch and KNEW it was going to rush the morning, but after yesterday's run and how SORE I was all day, I just HAD to get that stretch in. I feel much better today and the DOMS in my lower half are much MUCH better today....gives me hope for my next run! LOL

I'm going to make a new recipe: Zucchini-Carrot Salad with Cumin Dressing. It's a Weight Watchers recipe in a cookbook my mom just gave me....I was looking for a new recipe for the zucchini I have in my fridge/house! ;)

OFF to the kitchen!

Gayle

Hi Girls,

I just completed Muscle Endurance. Boy, I forgot how hard that one is!LOL!

Kim, I have grocery shopping on my list as well. We are taking the family to the beach for the day tomorrow, so I need to get some things ready as well.
Summer break always goes fast when it's fun, but it goes long when you're stuck somewhere with people you don't enjoy... Weird how that works...

Gayle, I'm glad you are feeling better! Good job taking the time to stretch! Let me know how that dressing turned out, if you liked it, I would love it so I can give it a try too.

Have a great day, everybody!

Good Afternoon all.

Gayle- I definitely can relate to having to go to the bathroom during runs.. My last 5k I literally pee'd every step I took until I eventually had to walk. I can not hold it in (weak bladder...my whole life) My one friend used to make me laugh so I would pee. UGH!
I have joined you in the leg DOMS. I did M2W1-legs yesterday and I am walking funny today. I forgot how hard those trisets were. I definitely like M2 for legs better than 3.

Kim- I love insanity. Although I have only done 2 workouts so far. They are super tough. My only complaint is the stretch after the warmup. It is almost 7 minutes long. I don't think there was any need to stretch that long. The stretch after the workout is shorter?!?!? Don't get it.
But they are a sweat fest and it really pushes your endurance. I have to say they are harder than any other cardio DVD I have ever done. (Don't tell Cathe!) Enjoy the rest of your vacation.

Measuredoak- I don't think I ever welcomed you to our group, I was taking a very intensive class I didn't post very much. So here it is:
WELCOME TO OUR GROUP!!!
Better late than never.....right:confused:

Julie and Cendrine- funny I was a creative memories consultant too. It didn't last very long, I couldn't find anyone that really liked it. It was too stressful. I just kept buying stuff for me. I think you had to buy at least $800 dollars every 3 months (?). I wasn't even selling that so I would buy things to get to the minimum. Lost some money instead of making any .

Cendrine-have fun at the beach tomorrow.

Julie-glad you decided to keep all workouts. Good decision.

Jo- have a good time with your visiting friend.

Rachel- Did you get power back? You have a long commute. Is that just where the job is currently? or do you travel that far all the time?

This time next week I will be at Cathe's Gym with Gayle and another 100+ people. Woo Hoo!!! So excited.

Have a great day

Here I am! I am Here! yeah...

OK I know it does not deserve that much fan fair but after the hard day we had yesterday I am so glad to be home at 5 instead of 7. Do you ever feel like you are working as hard as you can but not accomplishing what you think you should be? That was yesterday. Today was much better and tomorrow should be a walk in the park. But then we will start all over in a new section Monday. I can not wait for this one to be over, I tell ya!

Let me tell you what has been going on food wise. Last weekend I made Gayles salsa chicken but I added black beans for added fiber and a little ff cream cheese at the end. Sorry Gayle but I am a notorious deviator. I used this fo my lunch all week but I made the wraps daily because I did not want the tortillas to get soggy and I added frexh spinach to them also. A couple of days I mixed the chicken mixture with some wild and brown rice to make them a bit different. But that is not what I wanted to talk about...deviator...What I am finding very weird here lately is my lack of cravings. I am a craver. Mainly salty snacks and even though I do avoid them mostly, I have been known to eat a huge bowl filled with popcorn and other salty snacks. I know I mentioned this before but it is really puzzling me. I read an article today in my oxygen mag that said certain vitamins will help with cravings and I really believe that the way I have been eating and I also added B12 and Coq10 to my multivitamin and I believe this might have something to do with it. It seems to coincide right for the timing. I just wanted to run it by yall and see what yall thought.

Gayle-I am sorry your run was kind of a flop. Today was an off day for me too. I felt like I have trained pretty hard this week with the circuit training and the m1 for weight days and I was just tired this morning. So I did a 4ds LIS circuit and finished with abs but I am looking forward to Sunday. My rest day and my one day off.

Cendrine-I am about to buy the Muscle Endurance, Muscle Max, and Step Blast dvds since they are in the June rotation and I do not have them. I am looking forward to doing my very first official Cathe rotation with you gals. The only thing I will have to sub for then is the runs but I figure what ever kind of run she is calling for then , steady state or interval, I will just try to match it with some cardio I have.

Chrissy- Although I have never done an insanity workout I am will to bet that some of the Shock cardio will be pretty tough. I still do not know what I will do with the shorter workouts though. I am used to working out for at least 50 min or longer so 30 or shorter will be weird.
We did get power and nothing was irreparable so we are still hard at it.
This is just the job we are on now. The locations change all the time. Sometimes we will be 30 min from home and sometimes 2 hr. That sucks but it does not happen too often.

Ok guys my eyes are drying out so I am getting tired and I am having to backspace and correct alot so sorry if I missed any mistakes...Have a good day or evening ...Happy holiday Kim:D

Rachel

Hi Guys,

Chrissy, I had to laugh when you mentioned your experience being a consultant. I only had about 2 or 3 orders that were actually primarily from outside people, the rest of the time I just outfitted myself...LOL! It definitely was too much sales oriented for me to like it. I am not a seller at all!
But at least I am all covered with stickers and albums and tools all the way till grandkids come...LOL!

Rachel, your versions with the chicken wraps sound awesome! You re so creative! I just might try it with beans and cream cheese, that sounds right up my alley!

I'm looking forward to doing the June rotation with you too! I have a coupe of workouts I will have to improvise or sub as well and I'm sure you will do just fine doing a cardio workout in place of the runs! I have never heard of B12 and Q10 reducing cravings. Are you sure it's not just your clean eating all the time? But either way I'm happy for you that you are not experiencing any cravings, that is wonderful!

well, I'm gonna finish up a few things for the beach day tomorrow. I'm going to do Imax2 before breakfast and then we'll shower, pack up and go. It should be fun, although dh has been concerned about the high waves... I wasn't planning on going in beyond knee deep with the kids anyway. We have fun sand projects we will be doing instead. Got yummy trader joes turkey meatloaf sandwiches and carrots with hummus packed for lunch. I'll let everyone splurge for the snack time on whatever we can find there that interests us.

Probably won't check in until evening tomorrow, so have a great weekend!

Hi, everybody! Sounds like our food is on target, ladies! LOVE IT!

Rachel, I'm thinking that all the vitamins from the CLEAN FOOD is making a huge difference. Plus your taste buds and cravings just change the longer and more consistant we are with clean eating.

Cendrine, the Zucchini Carrol salad was okay. It was good, don't get me wrong, but the flavor was a bit 'odd'. You may like it though....I'll share the recipe tomorrow....it had fresh cilantro, lime zest and lime juice, a little bit of lite mayo (I used lite Miracle Whip because I like the tang of it) and some toasted cumin. Again, I'll share the recipe tomorrow.

Chrissy, I cannot WAIT till next week. Did you see the agenda for the RT? YIKES! If you opt for the YogaFit class, that makes SEVEN classes in 3 days!!! I'm so looking forward to it!!!

OK....headed to bed very shortly. I'm doing CCPP tomorrow morning and I was planning on doing it on the stationary bike to rest my foot/PF, but if I'm feeling good in the morning I'll run it out on the treadmill....I'll decided in the AM!

FOOD VICTORY! My mom and I took my boys out for ice cream tonight, at our favorite place which is about 1.25 miles up the road from my house. I DIDN'T GET ANYTHING....had ONLY 1 spoon of Jacob's ice cream (he got vanilla with peanut butter and nuts, one of my fave combos), but again, ONLY 1 SPOON for the taste. Then I came home and enjoyed my homemade greek yogurt with Kashi Go Lean cereal. WOO HOO! It was super hard to pass up getting something.....I mean, this was our FAVE place. But I figured it's always there and I can get it the next time I have a free meal, right? RIGHT!

G'Night!

Gayle
