Kim, I never had any frostbite when out in the snow in switzerland, but my fingers still felt like burning hot water was running over them when I was washing them under cold water after coming inside... I'm very impressed with you all going on that fieldtrip. If it wasn't for the cold, I would have loved to be there too! It's amazing to hear how people lived not so long ago, isn't it? When I think of their conditions I can't help but think of myself as a spoiled weakling....

Boy, if we ever loose our modern conveniences, we have some serious roughing up to do, won't we? Let's hope that won't happen!
'not getting around to calling' would get my ds to hear about it too! I'm glad he's fine though! And I am so excited that your dd already finished her quilt! I used to do lots of crafts as well, my mom taught me how to knit and sew when I was in first grade and I pretty much kept on making stuff until I got out of college, but now I kind of am a bit lazy and would rather watch a movie... Not as rewarding, that's for sure!
I will post a picture of the porch when I get around to taking one, it's really starting to look nice. I found some pretty flowers that might actually survive in our clay soil, so am contemplating buying them to finish the look of the front porch/garden.
Since I just had a recovery week a week ago, I am just moving right on to Meso 2. But I think I will only do it one time around not, twice, since I'm going easy on the weights. Still a good workout even if I don't up the weights as prescribed.
Jo, I love a super clean house too! How nice that you had two adults helping with it all! I have my two little helpers, and they do a wonderful job, but it's still a kids job... And 3 grown ups can accomplish so much! Enjoy the spring feel in your house!
I will be spending a lot of time researching what places are worth visiting with kids between here and Seattle, and we are definitely planning on not being in a hurry to get up there. It is really exciting to be thinking about seeing so much beauty together. We will be in a tent for the most part, unless it's cold or we can't find a good place to camp...

But that is part of what the kids really want, the camp experience. They already announced wanting to stargaze and hunt for animal tracks to make plaster castings out of...
Rachel, you've had a productive day! I can't believe it's so hot today for you! Our day was a cold one for my standards, though ds was just doing the flip flops and shorts thing...
Again, awesome job on your rotation! You are amazing!
