Cathlete
Just getting us started.

It's a beautiful sunny Sunday morning and my schedule is free for the day:D We had a nice evening with my family over last night but I have some cleaning to do after my little nephews were here. DH and I are going to try and get some pictures/curtains up. Maybe I'll even try out my new workout area or go for a walk and check out the new neighbourhood.

Rachael Thanks for the compliments. It's white carpet on the stairs:confused: which I've been vacuuming about twice a day. We did get 3 quotes on the curtains, I've ordered cellulars which can go up or down for the great room/kitchen .I didn't go with the highest end ones as I want to change them in a few years if I don't like them without feeling guilty. I do feel like we're living in a fish bowl right now as there is an open field behind us with a road approaching the house development so as people drive up to the development they can see right into the back of the house.

Those double workouts Saturdays must be a killer!!! I think I'm glad that I had a good excuse to not this rotation;)

Did you see the snow picture?? I put it in just for you, it's between the pics of the house in construction and completed. Just wanted to show you the amount of snow we have. Has your weather returned to normal??

Cendrine Smart thinking taking a rest week! Did you DH have a nice birthday??

Jo I sure hope you got some time to relax yesterday!

I tried out my new workout room! I did the Viper workout from the Terminator dvd. It felt good to workout and the space worked well.

Happy Valentines Day!!! Hope you are all being treated special by your sweeties!!! :D;)

Kim, how wonderful you got try out the new workout room! Did it make your workout better than ever? You picked a good workout for your maiden voyage! Viper and Gaunlet have always been two of my favorites. It must be fun putting your new house together! I know that naked feeling though without window coverings!

Okay, rounding out the session, this is my last week of hard labor at school and then finals open on Saturday. I'm ready to get it DONE! I meet with my advisor tomorrow to talk about next session.

Are you ready for this? That mouse in my house is a RAT! That's right! DH put out 5 mouse traps and none of them even had a nibble. I thought hmmmmm.... Then Saturday night I went out to the garage to get something out of my SUV - when I flipped the light on I heard scurrying and looked up to see a rat run across the tops of the garage doors and then up into the ceiling which is right below the wall I heard him in. So I went upstairs and said to DH: "That ain't no mouse!" He said, what did you see? "A RAT!" So no wonder the traps were still set, he couldn't even poke his head in to get the food! So, have to get a bigger trap!! Actually this is when we need a cat. We had bob cats last summer; how come they aren't taking care of this for us!!

At work, reviews are all over, presentations are all over and I feel like I can wind down a little this week. I didn't get to relax Saturday like I wanted, but just another week and this will all be over. Oh, I should add, things have calmed down enough I know I can go to spinning tomorrow.

Hello Rachel and Cendrine! I need to go read last weeks thread. Again, I hope you're all having a fantastic day!

Kim, I forgot to mention, I LOVE your house! Oh, it looks so..so...NEW! LOL! How nice to have refresh new everything! Your workout area looks nice, love the kitchen! In the picture of your rec room, are those little cubby shelves on the right? It's been such fun being in the background while you've been going through this process.

TTYL!

I'm here I'm Here!!!:D
Sorry no check in yesterday. I had so much to get done and then I just ran out of time. I hit the ground running at 6am and kept going till late in the afternoon. It was still nice to not have a workout yesterday though!

We are working a job now with a very young and inexperienced superintendent. We are getting our part done but I kind of feel like we are running the job sometimes. lolI can kind of relate with the guy though because when DH and I first started out we were very young too and we got no respect but you just have to get in there and prove you know what you need to know. I think this poor guy is just getting ran over. It doesn't give him any credit either that he is the builders son in law. I kind of feel sorry for the guy but you got to start some where I guess.

This mornings workout was IMAX2 (your fave, Kim;)) and then the 300 lunges. I am thinking that my endurance is really getting a lot better. It is weird, I went for years hitting this wall and it feels like the last couple of months I have been doing so much better.:D I guess there is hope for those tuck jumps yet...A girl can dream right? LOL

Kim-I did see the snow and it is crazy! You would absolutely laugh at our "snow event."Now this week we are going to be in the 70's all week! It is beautiful spring weather.:rolleyes:When we got our last bad weather bout last week Oklahoma City got 16 inches. That is just unheard of for this area.
I know what you mean about not necessarily going with the most expensive product. It is a nice way to change up the whole look of your house if you decided to change it later.
I am glad you opted out of this rotation. It is a bit stressful esp. with the doubles on Saturday and I think with all you have going on right now it would be just a little much.

Jo-I bet you are ready to be done with this part of your session. I bet the spin teacher is wondering what happened to his star spinner!:D
Even though I am a country girl I probably would have freaked about the rat. They have BIG TEETH! LOL When DH and I lived in a house in town when we first got married, I opened the door one night and there was an opossum on the porch and it hissed at me...That freaked me out a bit. I grew up in the country and I swear the only opossum I ever saw was the dead ones on the road! LOL Plus we were in the middle of town and the last place I thought I would see one. I would say you should post a pic of it when you get it but that might be a bit morbid:p

Cendrine-With DH's birthday and Valentines for the kids, I can just imagine how busy you have been! I hope you are getting some down time too.

Off to relax! Have a great night!

Oh Jo You are going to love this...DH showed me that I can get on the internet with my Kindle!!! I was looking at the Cathe forum this morning on the way to work! TOO COOL:cool:

Happy Tuesday!!! Rachel you're cracking me up about the Kindle! You're becoming a techie girl! LOL! Don't work too hard at your job! You're right the young super has to start somewhere. At least you guys are tolerant - it's hard to find your stride when you're having to work with a lot of experienced workers and you're unsure of yourself! Make him something on your george! LOL!

Good Morning Kim and Cendrine! I'm off to the shower! TBL tonight!

Hi girls, I'm sorry for being MIA... I had a busy few days, but the cinnamon rolls and the tiramisu were a great hit!

Kim, thank you so much for posting those pics, it's so much fun seeing your house all done! Good luck with the white carpet...

Jo, I hope the eat gets caught soon! Our cat would be no help, she would probably keep a safe distance...
I'm so glad you are on the home stretch now!

Rachel, I'm very impressed with your workouts, and a little jealous... it's so motivating, that you see endurance and progress!

So frustrating, second day in a row that I've got ready, driven downtown, went through security, sat in the jury room for 1/2 hr and then have the judge dismiss us for the day. I'm such an organized, scheduled type person that it drives me crazy.
We may go into deliberations tomorrow so I might be MIA for a bit.

Jo Yikes on the rat!! I wouldn't like that. No cubbyholes in the basement, I think you see a pile of pictures (that eventually need to go on the wall). So the carpenters came yesterday to finish some finishing work on the basement bathroom that wasn't completed and they found water under the vanity. The vanity is already all warped:mad::mad: They are going to remove it, have a plumber in and then replace it with a new vanity.

Rachael Good job with that increased endurance!! Enjoy that spring weather! We're at +4 today!! Getting a little melting happening!

Cendrine I'm a little nervous about the white carpet but no more pets and the kids are older. I got to say I love my new Dyson vacuum!

Okay, I guess I have time for a workout this afternoon!

Did Circuit Blast, I think that's the first time I did the whole thing. Also did the standing leg bonus on Lower Leg Blast, first time I did the bonus section. Kind of fun to try these things that are new to me.

Hey gals!
Well we are almost done with our job again.LOL I kind of like these little jobs. There is really no stress. You just go in and in a few days your done.

This morning it was STS TB. Tomorrow will be a toughy. Hiit 30/30 and then B&G! I might have to modify if I run short on time or just be a little late to work since we are about done:p

Kim-That stinks on the vanity but I am glad you found it now while there are still people around that are easy to get in touch with. If it had been a few months it would probably take a little longer to get results.
I like doing those new little add ons too. I did not even realize there was more at the end of STS TB till today. Still have not done that yet.

Jo-Any sign of the rat? Hopefully the next time you see him he will be es morte...I don't think that is right...LOL But you get the picture I am sure. Does Ibo hear him and try to search him out?

Cendrine-I was wondering about those cinnamon rolls. I just saw a recipe for home made ones today and am thinking what kind of an occasion that I can make up to bake them for.;)

Thanks all for the words of praise on the endurance. Trust me if I can get there anyone can because I am so not athletic at all. I just really thought I was as good as I would ever be but now I see there is always room for improvement.

Just getting us back on the front page.
I am whooped today and nothing much new to add from up there.;)

Hope you are all having a great day!

Rachel

We had a rainy day here. Not much going on other than the usual routine.

Kim, I'm glad for you guys that the issue with the vanity got caught now. We found out that there was a nail in a pipe of the downstairs toilet about two years after the house was built. It didn't start leaking until then... Luckily they fixed it at no charge, as it should be but these days you never know who's going to charge you even if it's not your fault...

I'm sorry the JD is such a pain! I'll be so happy for you when it's over!

Rachel, you strike me like enegizer bunny these days.... LOL! Nice work!

Hey Jo, did you catch the rat yet? ;)

Hello hello! Just popping in while I'm having a quick bite! Haven't see the rat and I'm hoping he's gone! But our leak came back! UGGHHHH!!! So a guy came out yesterday to patch again but we're going to have the roof replaced (just the flat part). I can't remember if I told you guys this but the flat part uses this special membrane. Last time we had it replaced with torch down which is obviously the mistake we made. The membrane is one giant piece. The rest of our roof is metal so we will never have to replace it and it doesn't leak - EVER (I shouldn't say that!). I know you're saying Metal? Yes. We are in such a heavily wooded area that between the moisture, moss, cedar trees, roofs in our neighborhood don't last long! But I will give you this advice...don't ever buy a house with a partially or totally flat roof unless you live in Arizona! LOL!

I met with my advisor Tuesday so signed up for my next classes...yes, classes as in plural! But I swear, no semester will be like what I've just gone through (right?) I mean, I couldn't even get a workout in! I am spinning tonight though! So my next classes are a both Mgmt classes. One is project management and the other is total quality management. Also, I'm taking tomorrow off and we have Monday off so that will give me plenty of time to do finals and have some time to myself (and DH of course!)!

Rachel, you can make cinnamon rolls for anything! You don't need an occasion! LOL!

Cendrine, how's your back doing? Tell me what's going on with you! And how's DH doing?

Kim, still hoping that trial ends soon!

You guys are all making me jealous with your workouts. I'm doing Cathe this weekend no matter what!!! Gotta run!

Boo on the roof leak Jo! That stinks. We have metal roofs here too. That is what we will be replacing ours with when it is time. I hope the next set of classes are smoother than this last set...Good luck on finals!

This mornings workout was PUB with the bonus butt workout. I think I told you but at the end of the sequence for the BBW she throws in the bonus leg work from LBB. This time I felt like I got on my toes better than the first time I tried it. So far I am rocking this rotation! It was hard to get out of bed this morning though. WHen the alarm went off this morning I was sleeping so hard it scared the s$#t out of me! haha

Three day weekend for us and then we are working at a vet clinic. It is in the middle of what seems like nowhere and it is huge! We went and looked at it today when we finished our job. It will be another nice job.

Kim-I hope the deliberations don't last too long. Hopefully everyone can come to an agreement. I kind of can't wait to hear some details when it is over. Just about the process if you feel like it.

Cendrine-I hope yall are not getting washed away. I saw you were going to get alot of rain possibly in the next day or so.

Have a great spin Jo!!!

I'm sorry to hear about your leak too, Jo, I hope it can be fixed well and have lasting results. Luckily, we haven't had any leak issues here.
I'm impressed that you signed up for two classes again! You are amazing! I hope you get to keep up with your personal life this time around, especially with the workouts, I know you've been missing them, if you had time to think about them, that is....;)

Rachel, the rain isn't as bad as it looks so far. But we did plan a trip to San Diego Zoo tomorrow and rescheduled it because it is supposed to be the rainiest tomorrow. So we worked ahead to have the time off and now we just have a free day at home. I like easy weekends!

I'm coming to an end of my rest week and kind of don't want it to stop... I have enjoyed the extra time to spend reading and am also not feeling all that great in my back area, nothing terrible, just feels like something is going on. Probably I got better and started not watching my back as well as I do when I feel it and then maybe that makes things act up again...? I don't know. Anyway, I'm not sure what I'm going to choose to do next week for workouts yet. I do kind of feel like I have reached my max on weights for the time being, so I won't be upping anything for a while as to not strain my back.

Kim, have you had more time for workouts? How far away is the courthouse from your house, I forget. Hopefully you'll be done ahead of schedule!

Just popping in to say good night! I MADE IT TO SPINNING!!! I'm going to feel it tomorow! My legs feel like cement! It was another class where he worked us extra hard because HE's trying to lose weight! LOL! No complaints from me though! The classes are already getting smaller again as the New Years resolution people are already dropping out! :D

Rachel, love that you're going to do a vet office!
Cendrine, glad you're not pushing yourself beyond what you should.
Kim, sending you good court vibes tonight!

Off to bed...spinning is going to assist me in an extra good night sleep tonight!

WOOOWEEE! OK Intensity is done and it was super hard today. I think I am starting to get over my rotation honeymoon and now the real work is starting!
I gotta get some breakfast in but I will be back to chat after. No work today.
BBL
Rachel;)

OK I am back.
I have to run some errands in town today but other than that I think I have a free day. We are getting 2 girls movies in the mail from netflix so I am looking forward to making dh watch them with me (insert evil grin)

Jo-I am excited to be working at the vets too. I worked at a vet when I was 18 for a yr. Of course this and that are going to be different. Yesterday we had to go in to the office that is operating now and there were dogs everywhere! It is a large and small animal practice so there are cows and horses outside. It was a lot different then the one I worked at though. This place was chaotic. They were just slammed, busy busy.
How are those concrete legs of yours today?;) I am glad you finally got a spin in.

Cendrine-I think once you get started next week it won't be too bad. Just stay light on the weights if you are still feeling it. Have you been to the chiro recently?
I did see the rain in San Diego. I hope the kids were not too disappointed. I love a big zoo!

Kim-Your MIA Are you already deliberating, I wonder? I am sure you can not wait to get back on a more regular schedule. I am a little like that myself when it comes to certain things.

Off to run errands.
Have a great start to your weekend.

Yay, Jo, you got to spin! I'm glad you got to go! I hope your legs recover soon...;)

Rachel, enjoy your movies tonight! What are you watching?

The kids are ok about postponing the zoo, they are really good about change of plans, luckily! We enjoyed our day off, and the kids are looking to going next week.

Kim, I was wondering too, if you guys are wrapping things up. Hope you have a good weekend!

Good Saturday to ALL!
I'm up and ready to hit the books. I'm hoping to take one of my finals later today. The sun is shining but it's really cold (about 30 degrees). DH took my 4Runner in for a checkup so Ibo is just hanging out with me.

Hope you guys have a great weekend and I'll check back in with you later!
