Runcrazy

Hello! Getting us started....

Today was migraine day for me - UGH! I'm better now...woke up at 4 with massive headache. I felt it coming on when I went to bed so had taken some meds so I think that helped squash it. Consequently I didn't get up in time to workout. No problem though; I wanted to adjust my rest day this week to some time during the week rather than Sunday as the September rotation calls for.

Tonight is The Biggest Loser! Yippeee!

Off to the shower!

Hi Jo, and all who follow!

I'm sorry about your migraine! Such a drag! I'm glad you were able to catch it though!

I did slow and heavy chest and back today. I can totally see myself doing this one for meso3, especially now that I am doing it once as a test run. I'll know more closely what weight I will be able to handle for it.

Tomorrow is Rhythmic step. The name tells me that I better preview this one! LOL! So, off I go to take care of that....

Just checking in during a TBL commercial, looks like some sad emotional moments on the first episode. Got Burn Intervals done.

Cendrine I love RS! I found it very frustrating at first but once you get the choreography down, it's so much fun!

Jo Oh, no on the migraine. Hope you're feeling better soon!

Ds and DH are at the hockey arena for the 4th day in a row! The season has started.

Chapter 2 Interesting Tidbits:
- people get fat becasue they eat more than people who are lean. This seems obvious but we finally have strong evidence that weight gain is primarily due to overeating. How much we eat predicts how much we weigh. Sometimes the most obvious explanation turns out to be the right one.
-While vigourous exercise can help control weight, a body of research shows that physical activity levels do not predict weight gain.
-researchers used to believe that humans had a biological mechanism called homeostasis that balanced our energy intake vs. output to maintain a stable weight. Research has shown that this mechanism is less powerful than once thought.
-research has shown that what we eat doesn't depend solely on signals sent by the brain to maintain a stable weight. Another region of the brain, with different circuitry, is also involved. This is known as the reward system.
-The body's reward system is essential to survival, encouraging us to seek out pleasurable like food. It is a powerful biological force. Eating certain foods can stimulate us to keep eating.

It is a super late post for me but I just could not let another day go by without saying hello!

We got the call we were dreading yesterday morning to go to a hosptal in Lufkin. It is about 2 and a half hrs. from our house so we have to stay out of town. It sucks! Excuse my french:p. The hotel we are in does not have a gym but I they do give vouchers for a gym that is nearby so I did that this morning but we had about a 13 hr workday today so I think I am not going in the morning:confused: I am missing Cathe already.
I need yall's help trying to figure out what I can do for my weights at the gym. I am at a loss. I have not mad my own routine since before sts and I just do not know where to start. Any ideas of a good rotation I can do.
I do not have anything like cardio coach so I am winging the cardio, but like I said I am clueless when it comes to the weights.

We are going to be working alot for the next three weeks so I might be sporadic but just know I am thinking about yall and am missing my Cathe workouts!

I hope to caheck in tomorrow.

Rachel
